Killed What Was Nostalgic & Beautiful In New Update in Old Favorite App

Before the latest update, this app has been a long time favorite of mine and my family’s. We have countless portraits together using it and have loved the old fashioned interface and filters. Those things are what made this app special. 4 flashes, varying filters (which I bought each and every one of).Now opening this app feels like every other photo app. It’s no longer special or unique. It’s not nostalgic. And it’s complicated!! I don’t want to create events to use it. I want to take goofy photostrips with my kids for occasions but also just for fun. I don’t want themes. I have a better collage app for that. I used this one constantly because it was special and nostalgic. My kids loved it too. It was perfect. Now, unless I am missing something, I might as well not have it anymore because my old purchases are gone, my old photo strips are gone, and the app itself is just like a thousand other apps like it. Why on earth would you let yourselves become common when you had something special??And why not give your customers the option to keep what we had?? Is there a way??It had the photos I had taken with it saved in the app as well as the camera roll. Did those just disappear?? This makes me genuinely sad.

All of the cry babies who wanted ANOTHER copycat version of all the Photo Booth apps got what they wanted! This app was built on the idea of the old fashioned photo booths before you smartphone babies were born!! A simple classic film strip pictures that you’d take in an arcade or at the mall. But now, because of you whiners wanting the ability to customize your photos strips LIKE EVERY OTHER PHOTO BOOTH APP AVAILABLE, the owners of this beloved app made the decision to change the whole app! There were only two things I would’ve changed from the old format. 1)The ability to widen the photo strips just a little more. 2)The ability to print different photo strips on one photo paper. For example, if I took pics with family on one photo strip and friends on another, I would’ve like to print one of each on a single 3x5 photo card/paper instead of only being able to print 2 of the same strips. The same when printing out 3 strips (the maximum allowed) on a single 3x5. Hopefully they’ll change it back somehow and give us the OG version and give the crybabies the option to fully customize their photo strips in a paid option. 🤷♂️ ANYONE WHO PREFERS THE ORIGINAL STYLE, DO NOT UPDATE!

As a photobooth app, Pocketbooth is the finest available. It's a niche app, to be sure, but it does the best job of it that I've ever seen. Pocketbooth has the options, the filters, the exports and the general style to make using it a delight, and a frequent one, at that. It's a great party app, to use at gatherings and meetings. I've also used it in my classroom as a "depict a short story in four frames" activity. One could do the same with "live action" comics, invitations, congratulatory messages, get well messages, etc. The applications are endless and the ease of posting/sending one's results are smooth and varied. Plus, I like supporting this developer. He/she has style and humor. The updates are frequent and delivered with a friendly wit that I really enjoy. I want to see this developer try his/her hand at the next thing. I'd buy it again in a flash!
Still love and using it a decade later

This was one of the first few apps I purchased when I got my first iPhone ten years ago. It’s niche, but hugely fun any time I’m with the people I love most. This app’s mechanics are true to the story of classic booth pics, and honestly creates the best wall papers. I only wish the images were higher resolution. I’ve tried to print some and found that the images were too small for an oversized print. (Please make h-res images an option.) Thanks for the fun and helping me capture memories.
