THE BEST app of dozens I’ve tried for taking continuous burst self portraits, other hold a low maximum of photos per burst causing you to constantly have to walk back and reset the camera every minute, this one has allowed me to have thousands of takes without stopping, also I love the different review options for selecting photos to keep. Higher quality than other apps I’ve tried also! This one is 12mp, others I’ve tried I could only find 8mp. Worth the five dollars!

Higher quality than other apps I’ve tried also! This one is 12mp, others I’ve tried I could only find 8mp. Worth the five dollars!

Update 11/19 – The developer’s decision to remove Stealth Mode dropped the app from one of my most frequently used to being tucked away in a folder as a last resort. Stealth Mode was fantastic and set the app in a class above the rest. It’s more than a year since they removed the feature and after several updates (not to mention, multiple unanswered emails to the developer), it doesn’t seem likely to return. I reduced my 5-star rating to 2 because of the feature removal and lack of developer response. I've been using Fast Camera for well over a year. The two main draws for me, instantaneous fast–burst pics upon opening the app and the stealth mode feature work beautifully. I often wind up with a lot of useless shots to sort through, but it also manage to capture ones that otherwise would not be possible. My main suggestions, which I sent to the developer who was quite responsive and receptive, are that it's too easy to accidentally touch the screen and exit stealth mode inadvertently, not even realizing. The other is the means for getting the pics out of the app and into your camera roll. The interface for this is a bit inconvenient because if a download is interrupted, which can happen with something as normally innocuous as a pop up from the iOS, exporting is aborted and you have no way of knowing where you left off or how much was completed. The pros far outweigh the cons. And although somewhat awkward, there are workarounds to overcome the minor issues. I do have high hopes for the future of the app based on my communication with the developer.

I'm still figuring it out. I tried low stakes- my cat grooming (actually, my cat doesn't seem to groom much so maybe they were important) and speed, light, focus was fine. Framing was terrible- that was on me. Next- parents feeding nestlings looked like the light was too low but the "film" was fast enough. I wasn't happy with the color, etc but the focus was good. I'm not clear on what deletes photos from the app and I'd like for the photos to sort into a smart album automatically so I figure out what I'm doing right and wrong with the camera. The UI seems a bit different than other cameras but I've only used it twice.

You’ll have to experiment to understand why you can do things with it no app that I know about can do. I hope the developers are rich and have loving partners and are completely happy.
