It’s a great app but…..

It’s easy to use, easy to make stay connected with the latest updates and make bookings and purchase stuff on the store. However I have one little issue which I hoped the last update would solve but didn’t. When I make a search for an award booking and there is no a available flight, it gives you an option to return to the search. However on return, it makes you start from scratch and you have to re-populate all the fields again. It makes sense that it should pre-populate the fields with your last search options. Then you can just fiddle with maybe the dates or maybe the destination or something else. The Lufthansa app would have been the best but for this.

I use the app in order to calculate mileage for future flights, since MnM discontinued the web-based lookup tool that was just a click away when booking flights via a PC-based web browser.A tip: When entering the flight details, it does not appear to be necessary to put in the correct flight number for many queries; any input seems to do the job. Not sure why the date input is needed - both of these should probably default to some random date in the future or buried in some expert level section. In short, too many inputs are required to do the most common queries, when only uncommon queries should require more inputs.I just wish LH would build this tool right into the booking process. Maybe I am the exception, but I use it to justify purchasing a higher booking class ticket to keep or achieve frequent flier status.

I started to see change in the app And the Miles and More program about 1 year ago, and I continue to see positive changes. Much, much friendlier to use. Very good offers in the program. Wish one could get awarded with extra miles, or better seats for a period ( ie discounted premium economy or business seats) just to encourage loyalty and … flying. Also, Can you “subscribe” to premium seats for a set price for certain routes?

Super Glitchy, has frustratingly limited functionality

I don’t understand how people give this app a positive rating. I’ve had a lot of difficulty logging in, prompted to reset my password multiple times, not because of user error but because the app seems to arbitrarily reset and doesn’t register entries. Also, the app itself has puzzling limitations in functionality. The landing dashboard is more oriented to advertising Lufthansa flights and services than about getting an overview of one’s account. There are other frustrating limitations. For example, it’s apparently not possible to request to mileage credit for past travel on Lufthansa or Star Alliance partners. This makes it feel more like Lufthansa etc are trying to create barriers for loyal customers to accrue and manage miles, rather than facilitating and encouraging them.
