Finally bought this app after using the free version for several months. It's the only app that can really keep track of all my accounts and budgets. The only feature I hope they can add is to change the pay bill feature. There should be a way to designate which acct money is coming out of and where it's going. For example, to pay my credit card, I can designate that the money comes out of my checking acct but then the balance for my credit card doesn't change even though the balance for my checking has been deducted. I should be able to pay bills with one acct to another and have both accts updated. For now, I just use the bill reminder to tell me when things are due and I record these types of transactions as balance transfers and then delete the bill. Please update this feature? Other wise it's a great simple app.Update: frustrated with the reconcile feature. Once one acct is reconciled and hidden, it’s also hidden in the associated acct which then makes balancing on a statement really confusing. Can the accts not be linked?

I’ve been using this app for years, and I’ve always loved it. They recently updated (v 4.0) it to give it a “fresh coat of paint.” I prefer the charm of the previous color scheme and logos that are now removed and replaced with a white background and many different colors. Unfortunately, my custom category for nights to the theater has been affected by the new logo changes; what used to be a pair of tickets is now an airplane. Also, the layout for the “Home Page” has changed, so that will take getting used to. I personally liked having the “Budgets” icon on the middle left, and the “Bills” icon in the middle. Maybe give us the ability to customize the layout of our Home Page? Furthermore, I am most disappointed in the changes to how the “Accounts” section is displayed. This is update now labels the transaction by the “Payer” rather than the “Category” or “Budget” option. I am disappointed in this change because I personally use the “Note” box to indicate what and to whom the transaction was made, and now many of my transactions’ headings are “Unknown.” Maybe an update to choose what labels are displayed as the headings? Additionally, I miss the ability to mark the transaction as “Cleared” or not directly from the list. Now, I have to go into each transaction to make this change. Please just revert to the old design and style!

Great finance app. I like how you can quickly look at different reports such as categories, accounts, weekly, monthly, etc. I like writing in the note box what I purchased at the store and I love that the note is visible on the transactions so I don't have to click each one and go to the details just to see the note. My favorite thing about the app is at the end of the month I export the category reports to an excel file and I love that each category is separated with all the details and total for each. I've used other apps where they just list all the expenses in one list and the categories are all mixed. This app organizes the report very nicely. One thing that would make this app perfect is being able to do category budgets. Right now you can create budgets, but they aren't linked to your categories so you have to add each transaction individually to the created budget which makes it really inconvenient. I don't use the budget feature because of this.

I've used Quicken's desktop program for years and now have used Money Monitor for years instead. Quicken was too hard, and reconciliation never came out right. Money Monitor is not a Quicken substitute, I use it for budgeting purposes and to print my yearly expenditures for tax purposes at the end of the year. It is easy to set up a budget and see where the money goes and how much is left for the month. Budget category amounts can be rolled over to the next month. The category reports are spot on, and are so helpful with my taxes since I put the expenditures in the tax categories I’ve created. Whenever I’ve had a question or reported what seemed to be a glitch (happened twice over the years in Budget history), the Money Monitor developers responded quickly and updated any problem areas as needed. I’m staying with Money Monitor Pro because the program is just that helpful to me and the service is great! It’s worth it!
