GT eToken Application Description (About this app) The GT eToken is a mobile application for generating One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in authenticating electronic transactions. A one-time password (OTP) is a secure and automatically generated string of characters that authenticates the user for login and/or electronic transaction completion. Electronic transactions include (but may not be limited to) web, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, where you are required to enter a 6-digit token-generated code. A one-time password (OTP) generated from your GT eToken App can be used as an alternative to or alongside the GTBank hardware token device. Activating Your GT eToken app To activate your GT eToken app, select your customer type and choose your preferred activation method, which can be the use of your Bank card, Hardware Token or by calling contact center to get an authorization code. Your data ID will be verified to complete the activation. Using Your GT eToken app: Once your app is activated, you can create a unique 6-digit Passcode that will be used for subsequent log in to the application and enjoy 24/7 banking. Note: To avoid your OTP being used by anyone, you absolutely DO NOT DISCLOSE OTP code for anyone.

MOST USELESS APP I HAVE EVER SEEN

Nothing wrong with my old etoken. Wanted to use it yesterday and was asked to reactivate again. I called customer service and they told me the app has been updated and needed to be reactivated. Well, the useless thing would not work. I was on the phone back and forth about 3 hrs and spoke to 4 customer service reps (nice and respectful people) but unfortunately, they couldn’t get the app to work. I have money in my account to give people for Xmas but unfortunately, GTB almost blocked this by their useless app. I had to resort to using other app to send money directly into my folks’ accounts. I am out of the country and as it stands now, I guess I’m done with Nigerian banks.

This bank is absolutely terrible. My app automatically deleted its self and I’ve not been able to get into the app for the past 2weeks. I’ve called customer service line multiple times and I’ve not been able to speak to one person. They aren’t replying my emails either and my money is just stuck there. I’m not able to send money to my family enters back home for the holidays. Everything about it is terrible. At this point, I’m trying to close my account and even that has been an issue.

It is very sad that you treat customers with no amount of seriousness. I happen to be out of the country and lost my token I have been on and off calls with your customer care agents on activating a soft token the codes they give end up not working and poping different error codes and I have been waiting from one 24hours to another if one cannot control his banks from wherever he is in the world then what's the use of having the mobile banking apps and all. I was taking to one agent this morning he hung up on me

App does not refresh itself

This app is so annoying that I have to turn my phone off and on to refresh. After a day or two of not using the app, it would not prompt you to sign in or forget password, app freezes that I will have to turn it off and on to refresh. Imagine when you’re in a hurry or have an important call ongoing but have to end your call so to turn off and on in order to use. Very useless app. If there is anything less than a star.. that’s what I would give.
