I am an American of Scottish descent and have always been both proud and connected to my ancestry. The Tethered app has allowed me to deepen that connection and explore the culture through different Scottish based journeys (music, meditation, recipes, relaxation, and stories). Loving it and the annual subscription is so worth it!

So much AI slop on the cover art and thumbnails—think uncanny valley faces, jumbled text on a pint glass, and the same eerily smooth, childlike woman that shows up everywhere on pinterest now. It just felt so wrong for an app that’s meant to celebrate the authentic soulfulness and natural beauty found in Scotland. I found I couldn’t get past it, and made me mistrust everything else—is the music AI generated, for example? Beyond that, many of the narrations sound like they were recorded in an echoey room on a tinny mic. Love the idea of the app, and hope that more is invested into better audio and actual designers and artists as it grows, but hopping off at the end of my free trial for now.

Such and incredible app that takes any listener through fantastic story telling of the history of Scotland. Beautiful stories and music! All well done and invites the listener to embrace the strength of all Scotland endures! Relaxing and peaceful! I love this app and highly recommend!

I have heavy anxiety over at least 5 projects. It's all the time, every day. I woke up this morning in a panic and realized I didn't even know why. So I decided it was time to try an anxiety meditation.I chose "Visualizing Stress as A storm". This is the one. I feel much better now and the storm scenario is definitely something I can relate to.Her voice and accent were soothing but not gooey.
