SBI Global Smart OTP is an offline OTP app for enabling customers to validate internet banking and mobile banking journeys using OTP as 2nd factor authentication. With Smart OTP, customers can actively generate the OTP in self-service mode to complete the transaction/login journeys without having to wait for the OTP via conventional SMS. This app is an independent mobile app required to be installed, registered, and activated on the customer's mobile device for usage in generating offline OTPs to validate INB/MB journeys. To use the Smart OTP functionality, following steps need to be followed: 1. Registration for Smart OTP on Internet Banking/ Mobile Banking application 2. Downloading the SBI Global Smart OTP from Apple Appstore 3. Activation of Smart OTP using user ID and PIN 4. Setting OTP preferences on Internet Banking/ Mobile Banking application SBI Global Smart OTP app displays a new OTP every 30 seconds. PIN, Fingerprint and Screen Protection (protection from screen capture/ recording) can be used to secure the SBI Global Smart OTP app. Lost device / App uninstall / Device format scenario: a.    In case any one of these scenarios occur, and the OTP preference is set to Smart OTP, the user can carry out a fresh registration (re-registration) and start using the Smart OTP functionality again. b.    Any pre-existing SBI Global Smart OTP app installations (and activations) on the same (or other) device will be non-functional after re-registration in such scenarios.
