The Capital City Bank mobile app is excellent! I use it all the time. It has a high level of security and is very easy to use. If you have a question for a person then it is very easy to message them. They respond with alacrity. I have never used the chat feature, I haven’t needed it. I have not dealt, face to face, with a person in a while. Between the ATM and the wonderful app I haven’t needed to. A wonderful and secure time saver! Highly recommended!

I’ve had an account with this Capital City Bank in Tallahassee for years, but hadn’t been using the card anywhere for over half a year. Two months ago someone in a different state used my card information to make $200 in purchases at a gas station. We didn’t know how they got my card information, but Capital City Bank alerted me of the transaction and said it was blocked. However a week later I saw that the fraudulent transaction actually went through, and I never would have known if I didn’t check for myself. After a frustrating phone call with this bank, they terminated that card, began the process of returning my money (which took days afterwards), and sent me a new card. I haven’t used the new card *anywhere*. It has never left my wallet. I’ve never even made an online purchase with it. It has zero transactions. Now someone has used my *new* card to spend $200 at a Wal Mart, again in a different state. Let me reiterate that nobody on earth has ever seen the replacement card that they sent, which has different security codes, and yet someone was able to use it to make a $200 purchase in a different state, after there was previous fraud just 2 months ago. This bank has serious security issues. I am withdrawing all accounts from this bank, but since I had to go through the frustrating process of getting my funds returned to my account and activating a new card just to have my card information stolen from me again when I have never even used the new card, I’m leaving this alert for others to be careful using this bank.

Not happy with the monthly service charge. I usually carry a balance of $1000+ per month in my checking account. Therefore the bank is earning money on my balance. There are times I start out with 7-8 K per month before paying bills too. I think checking accounts with higher balances shouldn’t have to pay a service fee or charge. My friends and myself have never experienced service chargers for checking accounts. Everything else is fine with my checking account.UPDATE:Now I’m being charged for monthly paper account records($2). What next, a monthly charge for security? I have had this bank account for over 2O years but it has crossed my mind to find another bank. Furthermore, this account would not accept a deposit over 10K per day. I had to find another bank account that would process my 20K check. They would process up to 10K checks per day for deposit.

I like the app but there are a few problems:• when transferring money between accounts, it does not show the current balance on the accounts... it has been showing the same balance for me for the past few months and I’ve made quite a few transactions and deposits• text alerts don’t work! I’ve signed up twice and it does not tell me anything, ever• when using mobile deposit, it took me a few times of trying to post the check to have it go through. It said there was no endorsement detected but my signature was there and very clearOther than that, transactions show up immediately and balances on accounts are accurate.
