Want to improve employee engagement and performance? Looking for a way to inform meetings and employee evaluations?

15Five is the leading employee communication platform for managers to gain insights into employee progress, and for employees to receive the feedback they need to succeed.
This brief, automated weekly process leads to meaningful conversations about everything from how to improve an employee’s role, to the creation of brilliant product innovations. With our new iOS app, have the most important conversations with your team or manager from anywhere!

Here’s how it works:

Once a week, employees answer several questions about their accomplishments from the previous week and provide other details about their progress. Managers can even pass-up answers to directors and executives, providing top to bottom visibility around triumphs, challenges, and great ideas.

Our new iOS app allows you to enjoy the same great features as the web version:

Goals & Accomplishments - Employees enter their goals for the upcoming week. Next week they check off the goals that they accomplished, while the ones that they missed are automatically marked with an x. Employees can add additional accomplishments at the bottom that were not contemplated the week before. Managers get a sense of progress at a glance.

Comments - Employee feedback is a two-way process. Managers can comment on answers directly in the app, spawning important conversations about everything from increasing revenue to improving company wide processes.

@mentions - Responses to questions often involve more than one team member. Just @mention orther stake-holders to loop them in to the conversation and make decisions that much faster.

Flag for follow-up - Don’t let important responses fall through the cracks. With this handy feature, you can come back later to provide an employee with support, realign someone around their goals, or talk through an innovative idea.

The 15Five app is perfect for remote teams to check-in every week, and for on-the-go managers and executives to know the pulse of their company from anywhere at any time. To use the app, you must already be a customer.

Saves time

The 15Five App saves me time each week reviewing 15Fives from my team and the rest of the company. I most like the way it navigates from one topic to another for each person and saves progress when I back out of the screen. I am able to use small bits of time standing in line or walking somewhere to quickly load and review or comment on a few 15Fives, which saves me time each week.

Lots of usability/performance improvements needed

Application hangs for me when I click on My15Fives -> my Current 15Five -> Goals -> Expand Metrics -> then click on one of the goals, and finally click the arrow top left to go back (or the Done button). It hangs at that point and I have to kill the app. Over and over.

In addition - there are other UX lags that make it frustrating to use. For example going into a long list of High Fives as you scroll down, if you make the awful mistake of clicking on one of them it takes you into a detail view - when you click to go back, your place in the long list of HighFives is lost and you back at the top. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn’t so slow loading the list on-demand as you scroll back down to truly and find where you were in the list before. And there is some jankiness about how it loads the list that makes the experience jarring as you scroll down.

Did anyone test this with a large list? It doesn’t seem like it. I don’t understand how this app gets such high marks.

So helpful as part of a team

This is a terrific app (and company) built around aligning everyone’s goals and objectives with the weekly 1:1s and end of week check ins. It’s a small but underrated tool. You really should check it out. The app works pretty well, too!
