Amazon Freevee: Movies/Live TV 12+

Good selection of content, especially if you want to catch up on hit series from the past, or get a taste of current Prime series. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years and the ads have improved in terms of variety and quality - not like some who beat you over the head with the same three commercials. I wish Freevee allowed Picture in Picture, and rewinding can be a little awkward - but all in all I enjoy it.

Mostly great interface, mostly great content on the Apple TV app. However, your recent changes to the “delete my data screen” make it difficult to rewatch series television because once the queue considers episodes watched it skips them during a binge rewatch. Used to be able to clear that knob and rewatch. i don’t care whether you keep my data. But, Please add a rewatch knob for season AND for series***. Recent changes broke it, and the way it is now significantly decreases the appeal of this app.
2. Also, the live tv interface needs work. It doesn’t have a guide for more than one upcoming episode/feature, it doesn’t have a way to group favorite channels, it doesn’t categorize and subgroup to simplify searches. Ideally one would be able to sort/move preferred categories to the top, and preferred channels into a favorites/my queue/usual suspects kind of container that becomes the default landing when live tv is selected, and is exited with deliberate selection, NOT by finger slide on the remote (bad) Random walk through 400 channels is really no bueno.
3. Finally, since you’re concerned with keeping my data, a “don’t show me this again unless i search for it” knob would be very helpful to us both at both the category and show/channel level. Thanks for listening. Cheers

Pro: I really like that when you start a show the bar at the bottom not only shows how long it will be but also where the commercial breaks will be. I also really appreciate that when the commercial break starts, it tells you how many commercials it’ll be and how long the entire break will be (ex: 1 out of 6, 2:15). However…
Cons: I feel like I’m constantly rewatching commercials! Show just came back from commercial break and you missed what someone said? Wait at least 10 sec to hit that button that goes back 10 sec. Otherwise it’ll go back to before the commercial started and you get to watch them all again! (My luck is that this never happens after a break with only 1 or 2, usually I’m stuck rewatching 6!). Also don’t accidentally hit the far left end of that line at the bottom that shows your progress. If you do, it’ll take you back to the beginning of the show. No biggie, you’ll just fast forward right? Only after you rewatch more commercials! Thankfully not every one from every break, but at least a few. I don’t think I should have to rewatch commercials to get back to the same spot I was at 2 sec ago before I accidentally hit a button.
Overall I like the app, but the price you pay for it being free is A LOT of commercials!
