Data loaded in IDV (IMAIOS DICOM Viewer) isn't uploaded on the network to ensure storage safety and security of personal health information of the patients (excluding use of sharing features). IDV supports DICOM files of all types (ultrasound, scanner, MRI, PET, etc...). You will be able to scroll through your images and manipulate them (e.g. alter contrast or apply measurements). It allows you to easily open any file stored on your device or accessible online for quick viewing whenever you want. Completely free for personal and non-commercial use, IDV is also accessible in its online version on the website www.imaios.com. Caution: IDV has not been tested or certified for clinical use. Lost in Tactics
I never knew what a dicom was until I had a surgery. That’s when I ran into this masterpiece of an app. This app is a masterpiece, make no doubt about it:• Butter Smooth (UX) user experience- tap this, to do that is elegantly designed and nothing is hassle to reach or do in this elegant app• Human Designed UI - places the user interface where you need it, tucked out of the way, as if invisible… you won’t notice it as you click and tap on things, in other words.. when you open this app and use it for the first time, you won’t be confused hope to go about things… • Importing full folders from your iCloud onto this app.. is effortless, and if you have multiple folders to import from a set, it remembers the last folder you imported, so you won’t forget your position, in other words… you’ll know which in s the next folder to import, from your set.All in all, a wonderful experience when interacting and getting things done in this app. As a game designer for virtual reality, this is what I call a masterpiece in design & execution. Thank you for this app, apple needs to do an editorial favorite with this one.

Awesome Free Resource with Small Missing Features

So happy to find this app to view my MRIs from the last couple years! Definitely recommend! Though I did find myself wishing for a couple features that would’ve been very helpful for me, overall awesome quality from a free app :) Thanks Devs! The good: Importing everything was very simple; I couldn’t get the Folder option to work, but multi-selecting files worked very well and the program automatically knew which of 9 studies to add each file to, which was very impressive. The interface is also really easy to use and intuitive, worlds better than the free image viewer that came in my DICOM zip file from the hospital. Suggestions: With the available annotation tools, it would be really nice to be able to add simple straight or dotted lines to help visualize reference points (I just used the distance measure tool, but the additional numbers add clutter to what I’m trying to see). The other thing I really wish I was able to do is pull up images from 2 different studies side-by-side to compare; not even rendered as a full-scan stack, just maybe if certain frames/layers of studies could be flagged or duplicated into single images to work with? I haven’t spent a ton of time in the software, so maybe haven’t figured out all the tools yet, but I wasn’t able to find an obvious way to do these things and thought they’d be useful for others too.

I’ve had a cd of s brain scan they did on me in 2012, and have been looking to find a way to read it ever since. I’ve had a cd of s brain scan they did on me in 2012, and have been looking to find a way to read it ever since. I normally only give four stars, because every app could be improved/isn’t perfect (like people), but this app gets the 5th for being free, and giving me the opportunity to see files that I couldn’t open for 10 years. What a blast from the past. This looks like it could be really useful; Good job DEVs. One thing I would add is the ability to read the entire data block on the ‘studies’ page; For me, it gets clipped off/truncated.

I had back surgery when I was 13 years old and I’ve seen many X-rays from before surgery but never got one after and just recently I unfortunately got a kidney stone and I asked for copy of them. I got it in a CD and in some kind of file that my friends computer couldn’t read. I just saw my hardware for the first time since I got it with this app. It wasn’t even that confusing to do. Thanks.
