What is ASCAP?
ASCAP is the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, a performing rights organization (PRO) representing over 1.1 million of the greatest songwriters, composers and music publishers in the world. We’re the only PRO in America operating on a not-for-profit basis, and the only one that puts creators first.
We get you paid when your music is played
ASCAP’s main job is to pay you royalties when your music is played publicly by the businesses we license. And we’re really good at what we do! In 2024, we achieved revenues of $1.835 billion, and distributed $1.696 billion to our songwriter, composer and publisher members.
We put music creators first
We pay our members all of the music licensing revenue we take in, minus our operating expenses (among the lowest in the industry). Our governing documents require us to pay music creators first – a claim that only ASCAP can make.

The ASCAP mobile app is such a helpful tool for managing my work as a rights holder. The layout is clean and easy to navigate, so I can quickly check royalty statements, review reporting details, and keep my account up to date without any hassle.I especially appreciate the Data Health Check feature. It’s a great way to make sure my catalog is accurate and everything is properly registered. Knowing my data is in good shape gives me real peace of mind that I’m set up to collect what I’ve earned.Overall, the app feels like it was built with creators in mind. It’s straightforward, practical, and makes staying on top of things so much easier. Highly recommended for anyone in the ASCAP ecosystem!

Great app but

Loving the app so far but I noticed that on the website I’m able to see the ISWC of my song but on the app it only shows the ISRC. Hopefully the developers add this so we don’t have to keep heading to the website.Btw super easy to register a work through the app, no issues whatsoever, thanks.

Won’t let me add a profile picture

The app works pretty well and is a must-have for musicians. The only issue I’m having is that I can’t upload a profile picture. I get a message that says “there was a problem uploading your image”. I’ve tried using different images, different image formats, and clearing the cache, but nothing has worked. It’s a very minor issue obviously. Just thought the developers would want to know.

I’m glad that there is finally an app where I can review my publish works plus additional information. However, I don’t understand why there isn’t a calendar for distributions?
