Got to pay to have credit, but it helped me get back in the game!
THANK YOU!!!Just grateful at another opportunity to grow and learn. However, I just paid my account in full, the app says my credit is $300, but said available $30. I called and was told that it takes 5-7 days. I tried to use the card and it was declined! That kinda messed me up! But overall… I’m still grateful that I have been given another blessing of a lil credit in 2024! 🙏👍

My bank has switched to Visa Debit Cards. Not CREDIT CARDS but a Debit card. Your system will not accept my Debit Card issued by my bank to pay my bill. My bank does not have an option for a debit card, I must use what they offer. It is not my fault your system cannot tell the difference in a debit card and credit card. This makes it difficult for me to pay my bill because I do not want you to have my bank account numbers to just take money. I used my bank today to make a payment because Avant is ruining my credit with late payments and is increasing my balance charging me fees for being over the limit and late. This is your fault not mine. I am more than angry about all this and after 7 phone calls I have found that Avant really doesn’t care about my as a customer, it’s about getting paid. I am told Avant is never going to accept Visa debit cards and that I just need to find a way to pay my bill. I love my Avant card and do not want to cancel it and I have no problem paying my bill, but Avant needs to accept my debit card.

Take note: I received a notice today that my annual fee would be increasing from $39 a year to $9.99 per MONTH, 3 months after paying the card off completely, never missing a payment in 3 years, a good credit score and several months after Avant offering to extend my credit by $300. After calling and trying to work through a solution and sending an email, I was told no supervisors were available but “one would give me a call”, but to no avail. I called again to try and reach a supervisor several hours later and was met with a quick “well this change is permanent so the only thing we can do is close your account.” Considering I had inadvertently OVERPAID the account when I paid it off and had a credit, I was appalled at the lack of working through a solution and the quick jump to closing the account, which is precisely what I did. I’ve spent thousands of dollars through Avant’s services and they won’t see another penny of my money, ever. This is predatory lending - BUYER BEWARE.
