Convenient collection of info, alerts are lost in space

It’s nice having access to all things related to school. One improvement they need is a way to see the location of an alert once you open the app. The app icon will show 1 new alert, but when you open the app, the alert doesn’t show up anymore and you have to tab through all the teachers and other tabs to figure out where the new item is posted. Seems like a simple
Fix, show the alert notification on the picture of the teacher that has a new item posted, or on the tab that has an update.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've now added a notifications section in the app where all the school and group announcement push notifications can be found for the last couple of days. In the app if you open the side menu, the very first link in the side menu is called 'Notifications'. Now you can easily find all your notifications in one convenient location.

It’s ok but extremely limited

Update: developers responded to teacher and parent suggestions and have been rolling out improved versions- yay!! I like that everything is all together. The links for different school items, ability to message teachers individually, receive announcements, etc is good. I wish in announcements by the teachers there is a way to ‘open’ what is posted. For example, the class disclosure is posted. There is no way to open and print it. An assignment is posted, same thing, as the user I am unable to “open, zoom, save, or print” and of the documents or photos. So I have to message the teacher to email it to me. Seems totally backwards of what this app is intended for. I like the concept, but needs a little more work to be truly functional for patents and teachers. Please improve soon!

Thank you for the great suggestion. We just rolled out an update that allows teachers to post links in messages for groups. Now when a teacher has a document on their Google drive or wherever that they need to share with you. They will be able to share the link, and you will be able to click on that link and access the page, document, etc from the app.

Genius!

I have so appreciated this tool as an effective way to communicate in our school. I love it as an educator but even more as a parent. So tired of all of the apps, the different teachers and administrators want us to download so we could stay informed. I’m tired of schools pushing my kids to social media if they want to know what’s happening at the school. It’s time schools get on board and buy an app like this that is comprehensive and communicates with all stakeholders. I really appreciate the development group and they’re openness to feedback. I know it’s fairly new but it’s amazing. All schools need to take a look at this. Get their heads out of the sand about appropriate school communication tools!
