Black Rock Coffee Bar App 4+

As a fairly frequent client of Black Rock, drink and food quality is always worthwhile, but today, the customer service made me feel royal. My car charging cord had broken and I was unable to use my phone. Luckily, I saw a sign on the freeway for Block Rock and pulled off at an unknown exit for me (Signal Butte in Mesa). Inside, I offered my account information. I brought in my iPad and attempted at the counter to pay for my order. The employee, Patti, attempted to help me get to my online wallet, but neither of us were successful. Thankfully, no one else was in line, but she decided, on the spot, to comp the drink for me. A very grateful customer, I sat at a table near an electric outlet to charge my phone, hang, and drink/eat the always delicious libations. As usual, Black Rock Coffee Bar has further cemented my respect and appreciation.

I used to love BlackRock but the environment and quality has changed a lot in the last 2 years. I noticed this especially after they changed their system and app. I went in to get a free coffee after my app “stamp card” was full. When I went in, the employee told me that they changed their app. That was a little weird but didn’t bug me in the moment so I just downloaded the new app and made my order. I asked if they would convert the points to the new app so I could get the free drink. They “converted” the points and then told me that I would have to get 2 more orders before I get a free one. I immediately showed them the previous app and how it told me that I have a free coffee. The part that hit me the most was not the money or the benefits that I lost. After I showed the employee the issue, they just looked at me with a cold face and said “nope the new app says you need to buy 2 more”. This shows a lack of honesty and integrity from BlackRock overall, not just that, but also the quality of the service. This wasn’t just a one time that the service seemed depleted. It doesn’t feel as friendly anymore like it used to. It’s a bummer for sure.

I don’t always go to Black Rock, because of time or money. But whenever I want an affordable and not so popular coffee shop (but popular) I always go here!
Never have I had a bad experience, the baristas are quick, will let tell you about your offers and rewards you have. Their boards always tell you when something is out. They give recommendations and always take time to talk to you while you wait for your order.
