During a health journey, everyone wants to know what’s going on, and how they can help. Public social media isn’t always the right place to share medical details, and it’s too hard to keep up with individual emails, texts and calls. CaringBridge offers a safe, secure place for patients and caregivers to provide health updates, and for family and friends to respond with messages of emotional support and prayers.

Needs bug fix

The app never lets me add photos-nothing happens when you click to add photos. So I have to post, then go back later to add photos on a real computer, which takes more time. I think it just needs a bug fix.

Hi Rebecca - thanks for sharing your feedback! We're fixing this in the upcoming app release. The next time the app updates, you won't have to take that extra step. Please let us know if you have any other concerns at and we'll be happy to help!

Shady donation wording

Caring bridge is an amazing site that really helped connect people with updates when a close family friend had some critical complications during childbirth. It was a great way to keep so many loved ones in the loop when it came to medical updates and prayer requests, but there was a large unmistakeable “Tributes” link on the page that says “Donate in honor of [our friend]”. The wording there led many of her loved ones to believe they were donating to the mother and her family to help financially support them, but NONE of that donation money went to our friend or her family; it went to the website. I totally understand that the site needs donations to stay free and running, but the wording on their donation link to the site seemed shady and deceptive, since many people donated hundreds of dollars to the website, thinking the money was going to the family for medical bills and childcare.

Thank you for your feedback on our donation requests. To continue to provide this service at no cost to other families like yours, we rely on donations. By fundraising, we can continue catering CaringBridge to the interests of patients and family because we don’t rely on advertisers for revenue.
CaringBridge users like you and me contribute when we can. Donations are not required, and we are humbled each one that we receive.

Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We will take this into consideration as we plan future updates.

Changed my world!

I have been using Caring Bridge for almost 18 months. My husband became very ill and for the first 10 days I was going out of my mind with worry for him and trying to keep family and friends updated of his condition. I tried setting up group text and email accounts but I would miss a group or someone with info. Finally someone suggested Caring Bridge and it took a load off my plate. My site has over 250 followers and has had over 8100 visits. I would have never been able to make that many contacts. And it’s easy.
