Tier 2 provides additional features like more frequent background updates, additional map layers, custom notifications, and additional data source access for Apple Watch users.
Tier 3 includes all the features of Tier 2, plus rain, lightning, and storm cell notifications (where available) and even more frequent background updates.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed.

This is the weather app with personality.. if you’re OK with sarcasm, political jokes, and the occasional insult. But how good is it at the weather part? Drawing data from Foreca, one of meteorology’s more accurate forecasting services, it’s pretty great.
Didn’t Know What I Was Missing

All this time, I had been seeing Carrot Weather at a distance, seeing what it can do, but I wasn’t impressed at first. But then I finally took the plunge and bought it on the iOS and Mac platforms. Well worth the money!!! This app is WAY better than Forecast (especially on the Apple Watch) or even the native Dark Sky app! But, this app has some pretty good humor, and it is definitely a trip to poke the daylights out of the Ocular Sensor every now and then (LOL). The Snarks are awesome, and definitely will get you laughing at least every once in a while.That’s all well and good, but it really does get down to business when it comes to knowing what weather is coming your way, giving detailed analysis of whatever weather conditions are present at any location you desire. And, the Mac app is definitely awesome as well, employing keyboard shortcuts throughout the app. For those of us on the Mac, we know that is something that should be required for every app out here: Keyboard Shortcuts!!Now, if Carrot Weather can improve their Radar app to be on the same level as MyRadar, we will be absolutely golden. And, because of the snarks, I’ll have to make sure now that I don’t inadvertently call someone a meatbag (LOL)….

There is nothing like waking up to a Overkill-homicidal-centrist weather update. I've had so many people download the app after they hear her tell me what she "did" with the clouds, and her quick wit low-blows to current-event topics. I can't speak to any of her boring personality options because I would never tone her down, but I know there are settings to make her "propper". Ha! Oh, as for the weather it is usually onpoint. I appreciate knowing what time of the day it's going to rain, and it didn't fail me when the last storm rolled in. When the subscription plans came out I didn't hesitate to sign up. I still don't blink an eye at the annual charge. Thank you for the non-stalkerish (private-personal-info respectful) weather app. All the other weather apps asked for too much of my information.
Not as updated as the iOS version but just as good

You don't need this app. You truly don't...But once you get it, you'll find it much more difficult to use any other weather app again (believe me, I've tried to escape but I always come back because it's so good).I own both the iOS and MacOS version of this app. As of August 2021, this app isn't as updated as the iOS version, so there's inconsistency there. But that isn't necessarily the worst thing ever.There are alot of apps out there that do what Carrot Weather does but the one thing they lack is personality. Carrot Weather is a funny, over the top, often homicidal, 'AI' that presents the weather in interesting and memorable ways. A simple weather check can turn into 10 minutes of me messing around with the app refreshing the messages it gives, playing the "Secret Locations" mini game, and bothering Carrot by messing with its ocular sensor (gotta get the app to know what that means). I sometimes even forget what the weather is simply because i'm much more focused on Carrot's personality more than the weather. It's nice to have easy access to my weather at the top of the screen and being insulted everytime I open it. I like to tell my friends to imagine Dark Sky/iOS weather app but if they cussed you and humanity out every time you opened the app. I would love to see this app as updated as the iOS versions (new animations, new humor, all new design) just for the consistency. But I still find myself enjoying this version of Carrot Weather as much as iOS.TLDR; This app isn't essential... but I don't regret a single penny spent on this app. Design isn't consistent with iOS but it's still just as good
You're going to take these bug fixes and performance improvements and you're going to like them.
