Panoramic Wifi app supports CGM4141 and TG1682 Panoramic Wifi Gateways.
The Panoramic Wifi App gives you control over your home network like you have never seen before. It enhances your in-home wifi experience from Cox with new levels of personalization and control. Your app lets you easily manage all sorts of wifi options, including the ability to pause devices, set simple device names and see the top bandwidth users. You can manage your family by setting profiles, pausing wifi for dinner or bedtime as well as easier troubleshooting.
The Panoramic Wifi App is required for installation of Panoramic Wifi Pods.
Key App Features:
- Cox User ID: No extra passwords to remember, just control with your Cox Primary User ID and Password
- Manage your wifi network name and password.
- Device Naming: See what devices are connected to your wifi network and give them nicknames for easy reference.
- Profiles: Create profiles, like one for each family member, and assign devices to profiles

Does the trick
As a person who streams everything, and has things hooked up that requires internet connection to operate (I.E security cameras) the long, dull nights of sitting in quiet darkness are over. I no longer have to un plug my router to eliminate my kids from internet access so they will go to bed. This app gives me the ability to restrict specific devises at specific times, or I can pause internet access to those devises at a moments notice, even when I’m not at home. Oh, it was a point of contention at first. The tears, the “I JUST WANT 30 MORE MINS”. The stomping around were very real. But PARENTS, lemme tell you. Just get through that initial time of a poor attempt of a power struggle from your little darlings. They will soon learn that you mean what you say, and comply to their new reality- while you still enjoy your favorite Netflix shows and effortlessly scroll through social media. So sit back, relax, pause that internet with a simple click and have the peace of mind that you are now the absolute law on internet usage in your home.
Unreliable! New “updated” router now blocking devices; NO help fixing from COX
When inquiring about adding an extender, the COX rep recommended I also exchange the old router for a newer “updated” router. I followed her recommendation (plus considering adding 2 cell lines to the landline and internet service currently with cox). After installing the new router and extender, I discovered one of the security camera systems was no longer available on my iphones or ipads. This had never been an issue with the previous router. Numerous phone calls and “resets” (now running into hours of time) have failed to correct this. The reps are courteous but just providing lip service; They just keep passing me to someone else or putting me on hold and later disconnecting. After lengthy conversations yesterday, (to no avail), I discover this morning that now all my devices are no longer connected and apparently blocked now. (One iphone and one ipad reconnected @ 2.5g, when I tried the reboot process). Prior to this morning at least everything was connected except the one security system. 14 other devices now will not connect. NONE of these issues existed on the “old” setup. If someone at COX doesn’t get this fixed soon I am pulling the plug on all COX services and will NO LONGER recommend or approve use of COX in any of my personal or professional activities. (So much for their “continuous care” service)
Worst cable and wifi EVER
After living in several cities and states amd going through many different providers over the past several years, AND after giving tjem NUMEROUS times to correct and improve, I will now attest that Cox Cable in Green Valley AZ is indeed the WORST provider of wifi and cable tv that we have ever experienced. For the cable, It constantly hangs up, goes out, skips forward, freezes, and goes totally black, whether it’s a recording or live tv, and the wifi/internet goes out so often that it has cost us hundreds of dollars in not being able to control our smart appliances (such as our thermostat) while we are away that we could have paid double for a reliable service and saved hundreds of dollars over just a few months. We’ve had service professionals come to our house several times, and while they are amazing, and do their best to address the issues, they can’t control the crux of tje problem, which is TERRIBLE CONNECTIONS. Some service techs have even admitted that they (Cox Cable) realize the service is bad in this area, but Cox has not felt the need to address the problem. I’m done. There are many other service providers to choose from, amd we will be contacting them tomorrow. We pay a lot of money for their “products”, and we refuse to continue to reward such poor service.
