Dayscript turns what you say during the day into a page of text you can read, search and play back.
Tap Start on your Apple Watch and carry on. Dayscript records in five-minute segments, sends them to your iPhone, and transcribes them there. Open the day later to read it back, and tap any line to hear the moment it was said.
WHAT IT DOES
• Record from Apple Watch with one tap, or from the Dayscript complication on your watch face.
• Mark a moment on the watch so it is easy to find later.
• Read each day as a page of text. A ribbon across the top shows when you talked and when it was quiet; drag it to move through the day, or swipe to the next day.
• Search everything you have said and jump straight to the line.
• Tap a line to play it back. Skip back 15 seconds or listen at up to 2×.
• Transcription in more than 30 languages and regional variants, including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French and German. Choose up to three, and each recording keeps the clearest result.
• Share a day as text, or save it as a file.
• A morning reminder on your watch, skipped on days you have already started.
• Six accent colors and two app icons.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no ads, no analytics.
• We run no servers. Recordings go from your watch to your iPhone and are never sent to us.
• Speech becomes text on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device speech recognition.
• Audio is kept for 30 days by default and left out of iCloud Backup unless you choose otherwise. The text stays until you delete it.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Requires an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone. Recording happens on the watch.
• Recording uses watch battery. Recording health, in Settings, shows the drain for each session.
• Speakers are not labeled separately.
• Recording other people without their consent is illegal in many places. Tell the people around you that you are recording.
