Queyoun’s Denny’s App Review

I absolutely love the Denny’s App! My schedule is getting really busy right now between the holidays and getting everything wrapped up for the end of the year. I always have a long list of things to do, and sometimes preparing and making a meal can become a bit of a large task in my day. I downloaded the Denny’s on demand app on my phone and I ordered dinner and had it delivered straight to my doorstep. The process for creating an account was simple and the delivery process is always on point. The Streamlined Ordering Experience makes for a quick and seamless ordering and check-out experience. I received text messages from Denny’s app while my food was being delivered updating me on the estimated time of delivery for my food. The food was amazing and I had absolutely no complaints.

Hair in my food and a rude manager

February 3 , 2024 at 5PM friends invited us there for dinner. My dinner came with a long strain of dark brown hair. I showed it to the waiter , he apologized and said he would replace the dish immediately, and would see about getting a discount on my meal. I personally wasn’t worried about the discount. It was disgusting to see along piece of hair, on the top of my food with a little bit of cheese glacéd over it. it turned my stomach. It was disgusting to see that. He brought me a new dish replacement. The manager she came over looked at our table and said, with a nasty loud tone, is there a problem here? I was stunned. I looked at her and said yes there was hair in my food. The manager replied well you have another dish with that said she turned and walked away. The people that invited us to go there for dinner with them. They try to get a discount on my dish. The manager came over and said very rudely to them the problem was fixed. She got a new dish , so no discount. so not only did my food come with hair in it the manager was quite rude. Overall, I have been to that restaurant plenty of times this is the first time I’ve ever encountered hair in my food along with the rude manager.

Horrible UX

The design of this app makes it nearly impossible to order food. As a young adult I have literally never struggled to order food through an app in my entire life until tonight. I hope whoever designed this app burns popcorn in their microwave and never gets the smell out of their home. The menu pages are finicky and glitchy at best and it is impossible to input information at the checkout screen as the app will zoom you in automatically when you’re putting in your info and when you’re done and ready to zoom out it will kick you out back into the menu page. I have tried using Apple Pay but it doesn’t work even with my correct card information it will tell me that I cannot place an order at this time. This error would be understandable if the restaurant I was ordering at was no longer taking orders, however, other food ordering apps would notify you of this ahead of time. It’s almost as if this app had not been updated since the dawn of food service apps. I love Denny’s food so I can only hope that this fossil of an app can fixed and function at the same level if not better than other food ordering and rewards program apps.
