Great in theory….

It is so so helpful to have an electronic way to send prescriptions, since this is now the standard, despite not having access to one’s EMR remotely at all times. However, many, and I mean many, of the prescriptions get lost in whatever place they go to when you sign and send. I think it prompts someone to call it in on your behalf. Which means what is supposed to be instant is in fact you thinking your sending an erx, when what really happens is you write the rx, someone else calls it in for you, and this takes several hours to reach the pharmacy. It’s fine for not urgent things, but for after hours remote prescribing the prescription really needs to be timely received and process for it to be truly useful. It’s still faster to call it in to the pharmacy yourself than use this app. That says a lot.

Loved by nurse practitioners

I work for an OB/GYN clinic that still uses paper charting. As a nurse practitioner I find it tedious to constantly call in prescriptions or write paper prescriptions. not only am I calling in my prescriptions, but also the doctors prescriptions and I love having this resource at my finger chips, I love being able to see my history of the medication that I have sent. I love knowing that the pharmacy has received the medication. And I also love that I am directly sent a text message regarding a prescription. So that I can continue to see my patients in clinic without interruption. Overall, it’s a great app and I have shared it with my colleagues Thank you.

The safer more efficient way to prescribe

I recently downloaded the Prescriber app and found it to be seamless, intuitive, and efficient. Registering as a physician only took a few minutes and my identity was verified in less than 24 hours.
Registering a patient was equally quick with only the necessary information needed.
The app offers different formulations and dosages available minimizing prescription errors. Overall the app meets the new electronic prescription requirements while making the prescription ordering process safer and more efficient
