DragonStrength: Lift Tracker

Never the Same Workout Twice

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Workout creator with smart randomization and training log. Build routines instantly from the best 240+ exercises hand-selected by a licensed doctor of physical therapy. DragonStrength is a digital strength training companion that uses evidence-based exercise science and physical therapy concepts to generate semi-random workouts that pull from an extensive library of exercises all hand-selected and curated by a licensed, practicing doctor of physical therapy to ensure that generative workouts are populated with the safest and most effective exercises, as determined by actual clinical trials. Smarter suggested metrics use previous workouts, selected training mode, and configurable progression goal to calculate the optimal weight, set, and rep combinations to achieve progressive overload for each exercise, at a pace you decide. An integrated workout log provides a place to save completed workouts for future reference as well as a living data set that populates a variety of graphs and figures for easily tracking gains and identifying training plateaus. Differentiating features: - Point-based generative workouts: YOU control the algorithm - as random as you need it to be (or not at all!) - Curated, customizable exercise library of >240 unique entries, regularly updated by a licensed physical therapist - No more pre-planning workouts: configure a full, custom routine as you walk into the gym, in as few as 2 taps - Privacy-minded: NO user accounts, NO AI features, NO network dependency. All user data stays on device. - Designed to minimize taps - more time in the zone, less time on your phone - Data-driven weight & reps suggestions: No more mental math for progressive overload - Customizable profiles: configure by location - exercises that require unavailable equipment are excluded from selection

Version 1.4 - Added Home Screen Quick Actions to quickly share a link to DragonStrength or post the most recent workout to a social platform right from the device’s Home Screen - Added “Rest Timer” button to the active workout screen. Configure in Settings. Tap to trigger a gentle nudge when the selected rest threshold has passed - Added “Pause Workout” capability to the active workout screen. Great for accommodating unexpected interruptions without disrupting HR or calorie data collection - Added watermark to shared workout images, to direct viewers to DragonStrength on the App Store - Capped Dynamic Type enlargement to xLarge to prevent (reduce) mass truncation and overlap throughout the UI - Post-workout summary: HR graph now visually differentiates warmup period (if there is one) from the rest of the workout - Found a bug in the HR tracking pipeline that, under certain conditions, disabled HR tracking for the whole workout depending on user selections on the warmup screen. HR and calorie data will now always be collected during a warmup, but only factored into post-workout metrics if the user chooses. I believe this is now a solved issue but will keep an eye on it and welcome any feedback about unexpected behavior or workout results - The > and Checkmark buttons in the accessory bar of the Active Workout screen now also scroll the workout table horizontally such that the next most likely relevant information becomes visible in frame (name of next exercise and medals + trend graph, respectively) - A few minor updates to the curated exercise database - this will trigger the diff screen on 1st launch for user approval Version 1.3 - Fixed dozens of issues in the master exercise database and added more cross-links to referenced exercises within instructions and insights properties. The exercise library update will trigger on the first run - it will identify 2 “new exercises” (these are just existing exercises with updated UUIDs), 3 “removed exercises” (2 are just the old versions of the UUID-replaced exercises, but all previous properties and logging data will persist; the 3rd was an incomplete duplicate entry of another exercise that I discovered - ie, nothing of value is getting deleted), and >60 “updated” exercises with mostly minor tweaks for clarity, consistency, grammar or spelling. - Created and ran unit tests for the exercise selection algorithm, diff/merge logic for curated exercise database updates, and suggested weight/reps/sets calculation - Found and fixed a security vulnerability related to profile naming and backups - Added a quick link to the Instructions field of each exercise that opens a search for that exercise on YouTube
