Fun with one problem
For the most part, I'm really digging this game. It's tough to find online games that satisfy my 'espionage itch' but this one definitely does the trick. There's fun, leisurely strategy centered around global spy organization domination. The two factions make for a great moral dilemma as well.
My one problem is that there are 'main missions' that the game wants you to complete but in order to be successful at them you have to do a really awkward button mashing mini game. Failing this mini game is extremely common, and can be extremely 'pricey', which is aggravating.
Other than that, the game is loads of fun!
Pretty good but..
This is a fun game in and of itself. It's pretty fun establishing safe houses and going on missions. But there is a very annoying feature which bumps this game down a couple stars. The enemies still work while you are not using the app. So if there is a time you are simply unable to open the app for a couple days, you can kiss your progress goodbye. This isn't as much of a problem early on in the game, but it becomes bigger and more annoying later on. For example, I had more than 80% influence in Tokyo, but because of real life things I wasn't able to open the app for a couple days. Once I got back, I had lost almost all of that influence to the enemy because they still work while you are not using the app. Fix this, and this games got 5 stars from me.
Another great game from edgeworks!
Loved terragenisis, super grateful for characterize (seriously helpful as a dungeon master & fantasy writer!) and am having a lot of fun with this game. One issue caused me to rate 4 stars — I really wish that when you reject a mission or a special opportunity, a second window popped up to ask if you’re sure. Several times I’ve mistakenly rejected special opportunities and while I admit that’s 99% user error/impatience, it would be nice if there was some way to prevent that haha. Other than that it’s quite fun! The TerraGenesis model of paying for convenience/redos is a solid one.
