The things I like about Facebook

Connection with family, friends, colleagues with fun, interesting conversations and content. It is a great place for announcements (birth, wellness, marriage, new jobs, locations, relationship beginnings and ends, prayers and retirement/things considered regarding final life phases) Travel, food, fun facts, history, encouragement, recommendations and warnings. Much love and laughter and also opportunities to learn from people, places, projects, nature, health and beauty and general practices. Music, art, books to consider and enjoy. The downside is the system needs to catch up its artificial intelligence with a timely practice of identifying content that they consider “going against standards” and explain what about the flagged content was troublesome” — it’s too general to say “we found a problem associated with one of the following things” but after I decide to choose the closest option, I am never informed about what I should look for to not get flagged again. Most content that was shared from other users is what was problematic versus original content. Sometimes I get a notification 1 year after the post and I have no idea what or how that post now gets flagged and why a year later it is important to notify me. Instead a flagged post should be prompted with 7 days and Facebook have that discourse with me because 6months, 1 year later who recalls what they posted outside of annual announcements like birthdays or vacations?

Scammers and Fraud

I give Facebook one Star when I really want to give no stars. My account has been hacked numerous times and nothing is done. Several times someone started a new Facebook page with my photo and a few of my friends on it. I tried to delete the page without success and called Facebook. The page remained up as well as another page. Then someone hacked my Facebook and Messenger and charged it to Spirit Brooker. I sent Facebook a message, read everything about the security, and deleted my account. Still wasn’t able to do so. The only change made was to the Facebook page I see, but to everyone else, they see Spirit Brooker and my messages I have lost all but three people and they are family members. All my contacts are gone. Something needs to be changed.
One time I received a post from someone who went on vacation at some beach and sent a picture of something that looked like a weird spider and said it was poisonous and to be careful at the beach, especially at night. I got a message from Facebook that they suspended me from Facebook for 3 weeks for posting something false. All I did was say that it was ominous-looking and sent it to friends. But yet they can’t fix my problem.

Facebook the good and bad

Facebook is a great platform for information exchange and keeping in touch with family and making new friends! A place to voice our prayers for those in need, special causes and thanks! A place for news! A place to share concerns and lay bare the truth to facilitate good change for all! It is a place to warn others on impending disaster and celebrate the good!

Conversely, it seems that all too often, we encounter barriers for telling the truth! Fact Finders comb through posts to find what the slightest hint of a variation in their version of the truth and call us out for infringements! Yet you allow all reels and videos without ever stopping them for untruths! You allow sites that claim to be one thing but are another, never stopping them! Many times a site will show one picture or photo to garner opinions then midstream change that photo to something different! Sites that claim to be news and then post lewd or inappropriate photos! Please if you allow these to post freely, why do you concentrate on certain individuals consistently for minor if any ‘infractions’?! If we share a reel from another country that the sender says is true, we have no real way if determining if it is factual, but we are given restrictions but not the reel or video maker or poster! Stop censoring the small guys and go after the big ones! Those who report others for sharing opinions but openly use offensive language, when reported, are excused…. Why?
