I read the “bad app” review from December 2020. It’s April 1st, so decided to download this app and give it a chance. BOOM! I have an IPhone 11. This app worked perfectly! Probably took me about a minute to enter and save my account info. Thirty more seconds to set up the payment. I’m happy and can pop open this app and make my payment any time. Love the convenience!
Waste of Space...
What a waste of memory space on my phone. About 2 weeks ago I would have given this app two or three stars because it was awful and awkward but it worked. I got an email AND a notification from the app that they updated the website and app and since then it hasn’t worked at all. I log in and then it says “failed to authenticate” and the only option is to log out. Also, there was a link in the email that was supposed to take me to the new app but took me to some Google thing, probably attempting to open a non iPhone app. Obviously, if you are here in the APPLE App Store reading this, you know how “useful” that was 😒 So, maybe there’s a new Gexa app but they screwed up or forgot to make the Apple app version? Whatever the reason, this app is freaking useless.
Hire New Developers
It amazes me the Gexa continues to put out unusable applications and websites. I log into the app, and it just opens a drone video of downtown Houston. There is no way to actually access my account. When clicking, “my Account” the only option is to log out. When trying to pay my bill online via the website, the payment page refreshes uncontrollably on my phone and iPad Pro, even requesting the “desktop version” doesn’t remedy the situation. I switched to Gexa after 15 years with Reliant because they provided a lower rate....evidently the higher rate was used to pay quality developers that provided users with functional applications.
