Needs an update - Inbox Problems
Needs an update quick. After sending a message the whole inbox page gets jammed up into the top of the screen. You have to close the app to get it back to normal. I’m using the latest iOS on the newest iPhone. Please fix this. And it would be helpful to be write and see notes added to reservations.
I was really excited to try Guesty’s mobile app. Their desktop, browser-based platform offers one of the most comprehensive property management systems on the market. However, I perform the vast majority of my business on the go, so having a mobile-friendly platform is very important to me. Unfortunately, the Guesty app just isn’t there yet. You can see conversations, calendars, and tasks, but that’s about it. You can’t add reservations on the go (let alone generate quotes to send to potential guests). You can’t update reservations (unless you want to change the check-in time). You can’t make updates to listings, and you can’t see performance metrics. This is incredibly frustrating, particularly since the mobile version of Guesty’s site is clunky and difficult to navigate. Essentially, this creates a backlog of tasks for me that I have to wait to do until I can get in front of my computer.
On whole, I am pleased with Guesty as a platform, and I love it’s smart calendar rules and fairly robust integration with a variety of platforms. However, the barriers to mobile management are a real bummer. I wish they would fix this, as the lack of mobile functionality really limits the usefulness of the product.
Functionally way too basic
As a business owner who is incredibly busy and on-the-go, I manage most of my reservations on my phone and this app is terrible for that. The limited functionality really hamstrings my ability to manage things and I find myself going into the Airbnb, VRBO, or other channel apps directly. Huge let-down.
I’m often not by a computer and having to use the Guesty site on a cell phone is a painful experience. It’s not mobile optimized. Guesty, for the amount I’m paying monthly I am really not seeing a gain here. Most of my bookings still come from Airbnb but now I have to try and manage them in a very inconvenient way and paying to be inconvenienced. At this point I am counting down the months on my contract.
Really unfortunate that you fail to place a priority on giving busy people a way to easily manage things on the go.
