From the makers of the award-winning Star Realms® Deckbuilding Game, Hero Realms® combines the fun of deckbuilding games with the interactivity of trading card game-style combat. As you play, use Gold to add new actions and champions to your deck. When played, those actions and champions generate powerful effects, give you additional gold, and attack your opponent and their champions. If you reduce your opponent's health to zero, you win!
[Non-Collectible Deck Building Game]
Hero Realms does not require you to collect new cards. You start every game with a basic deck, and will acquire cards from the shared center row to build up your deck and defeat your opponent. Victory rewards skill, and not your collection of rare cards!
[Level Up Your Heroes]
Create a hero from one of several classes (free players start with the Fighter and Wizard available). Level them up with new skills, abilities and equipment, and take them to battle in thrilling Online PVP. Hero Realms uses fair match making, only allowing matches between equal levelled heroes. However, if you feel daring, you can choose to engage in combat against higher levelled opponents for additional XP and bragging rights.
[Cooperative Online Play]
Hero Realms also features online co-operative play. Battle against challenging AI bosses with another human player as a partner. Free players have access to the Pirate Lord mission, with other co-op missions available with the Base Set purchase.
[Single Player Campaign]
For offline play, take on the Welcome to Thandar campaign. Fight your way through scripted, story-based chapters against varied AI opponents.

Ratings and Reviews
Compelling use of excellent mechanic
Great additions to the star realms mechanic with the addition of hero character types taking on their own low value cards in decks, and adding a more cohesive persistent character based augment skill tree.
Feels a bit less balanced then star realms with less value in sac cards over life gain or discards. Perhaps I just feel different about certain colors and their balances are effectively the same.
Worth some time if you like these build-as-you play form card games.
Great implementation but some terrible balancing
This is a fantastic implementation of hero realms. If your goal is to play hero realms, this is the superior way to play it over the physical version and it’s no contest.
However, hero realms is already hardly balanced. Some of the balancing and decisions in the campaign just not fun. For example, in one of the purchasable campaigns, there’s a seemingly random chance your money is turned into attack. This is okay every now and then I guess, but since it’s random, I’ve had it happen 2 or even 3 turns in a row, and it’s not even a rare occurrence. This is not fun.
Furthermore, on this same campaign, the enemy is often producing 20-30 attack by turn 3. This is absolutely absurd, as many abilities require a threshold of health.
The classes are not balanced for campaign play. The wizard is very strong against how the ai works, whereas the ranger is extremely bad, and the cleric would be good if the ai didn’t generate 20-30 attack per turn.
All and all, I’ve really enjoyed it, but it’s difficult to fully endorse it with some of the campaign having such unfun elements that take away player agency for no good reason and scenarios that take 30 tries just based on luck.
Also, there seems to be some way to select a race for your class, but I absolutely cannot figure out how. I’ve had it happen a few times randomly but can’t figure out how to prompt it.
Amazing Game!!
I previously wrote a review criticizing the app for two things: crashes & lack of pass & play support - both of which have been fixed/added in the latest update, making this the BEST game on my phone..! If you haven’t checked out Star Realms yet, it is also incredible & my roommate and I use it every time we’re waiting in line for something or waiting for our food at a restaurant - as app games go, it has excellent gameplay, the campaign is challenging but easy to get invested in, you’ll want to unlock the upgraded abilities for every class, & if you’re already a fan of Star Realms - prepare to be gleefully amazed, because this takes the gameplay to a whole new level. This does for mobile gaming card games what Stardew Valley did for mobile gaming sim games. 💯
