The DC Library app is your portal to enjoying DC Public Library services on your mobile device. With it, you can quickly search library resources, find information and materials and get full access to your library account -- wherever you are!
With the DC Library app, you can:

- Place or cancel holds on items
- Renew checked-out materials
- Find the library nearest to you in the District
- Access ebooks, eaudiobooks, music, classes and more from our Digital Library
- Browse events at your nearest library
- Interact with DC Public Library social media
I like the new feature of being able to see how many copies of a book are available and their locations.However, I must type in my login information each time I access the app; it does not seem to save my information.

Response is much faster than previous version. Some suggested improvements:1. On the “Holds” screen: - order by place in the queue - rather than say “PLACED” show queue position - send a notification when status changes to “Being held”2. Make the “My Lists” feature of the web page available in this app.

It’s great I can take a book suggestion and request a hold right on my phone. It’s not great without notifications, though. I keep missing my window to pick up holds because I wasn’t aware it was ready for pickup.
New and Improved App!

The new app looks great and is a vast improvement over the old version. Night and day difference in usability and functionality!
Minor fixes and enhancements including:

Resolved an issue where the app would pause background audio when opened for the first time
