It's hard to believe plank could provide such a great workout until you try it.
Training the abdominal muscle group is no easy task. The muscles do not all respond to training at the same rate and there is a core group of abdominal s, running beneath the external ones with muscle fibres pointing the opposite way. This makes for a core picture which no single exercise can adequately address which helps explain why strong abs are hard to attain, which makes them an aim to strive for.

This app would be excellent if it functioned correctly and didn't have so many crazy annoying ads.. I understand with a free version there will be an ad here and there, but these were the worst and so persistent. Add that to an already buggy app and I ended up deleting the thing and just making my own plank timer with a regular timer app
