Gatewise Multifamily-Access 4+

While the app does exactly what it needs to do, it is frustrating to have to go through multiple clicks to reach what you need every time you want to open a specific gate. The app needs to offer the ability to make a widget with a specific gate opening. Also needs to add usability on an Apple Watch (preferably with 1-tap access to a specific gate as well). While I understand the option to use Siri is available, it is a significant battery drain to leave Siri on, as well as a security issue. Please add an Apple Watch function! There are many instances when people have their hands full and can't access their phone (including the fact that in some cities it is illegal to have your phone in your hand while your vehicle is running and/or not parked in a designated parking spot), as such, alternative options to open a specific gate are vitally important.

Hi there- If you use the Siri shortcut set up using the side menu on the app, it will set up Siri but at the same time it will create shortcuts for each access point you set up. You can then add that shortcut to your homescreen and use it for one touch access, and you can do the same with your watch. Depending on what watch face you are using you can even add it to one of the complications so its a button on your watch face. Please email at support@gatewise.com if you need assistance with this.

I use Gatewise at an apartment building with dozens of doors and gates, but I only use about 5. However, I am forced to scroll up and down a massive list of door buttons to find those same 5 every day. A simple solution would be a “bookmark” feature. Something like, press and hold on your chosen buttons to add them to a section at the top of the list for easy access. It would be a game changer! Please add a bookmark feature (especially for users like me who cannot do the Siri commands), I am begging :)

Hi! You are now in luck, we already have that feature "Favorites" launching in the newest version coming up. It will be released this week. You can select which access points you want to see first :)

The app seems like a good idea until you actually use it. It takes a lot longer to open doors than it would with a fob due to having to scroll, find the right door and the lag time.

If you’re without your phone you’re out of luck. This is a massive inconvenience for me because many times I go to my car without my phone or I go running without my phone. It would alleviate some issues if there was a watch app that could use Bluetooth without having your watch connected to your phone.

Overall this just makes things way more complicated and slower than they need to be. If there was an option for a fob with this system it would work better, or even have your phone tap the sensor instead of having to find the right door would also be better.

We are also now releasing a version that allows the individual user to select order for their access points independently of the arrangement via their property and you can have it similar to favorites for easier access and no need to scroll down a list to find the right door.

Though watch app is currently not in the roadmap, it is being considered. Rest assured we are continuously finding ways to improve the app and provide better experience.
