It seems to be a good app but it definitely is not the best and it could be better. If you have ever used pocket prep for EMT or firefighter 1, 2 that is a great app. It has many features I wish this one had like. The two man ones I wish this had•A explanation when you get a question wrong. •The ability to resume your test after closing the app.Some other stuff I wish it had•The ability to see how many of the questions you have completed. • I wish you could click on a question without it automatically submitting that as a answer. It’s frustrating when you click on something by accident and you get it wrong. All in all it’s worth buying.

IFSTA ARFF is now on its 7th edition, and as someone who went through the questions in this app multiple times then took the test in December ‘25, I can say the app is not worth the time or money. I had 1 or 2 questions on the test similar to ones in the study deck on the app. I’ve used multiple other IFSTA apps for tests in the past and some of them were very good supplements to the book, this one is not. Also, many embarrassingly bad spelling errors as well as incomplete questions. Finally, the post study session review is a mess. It will mark some incorrect that it said you got right during the study session, and on the ones you got wrong it will often list the correct answer to an entirely different question. Focus on reading (or even skimming) the book and study the chapter quizzes and review questions, this app isn’t even worth using as a supplement to those things. It will not help you, it will only waste your time.

$10 for an app with typos all over the place? Get a hold of yourself IFSTA. (Side note: your books contain entirely too much useless information that in no way, shape or form will make one a better firefighter.)

Solid app. Will prepare you for your class/or state exam. Key is to read the book…I’ll say again….READ THE BOOK. After a chapter, follow along with the app, and you’ll be fine.
