Need bigger keys on iPhone? Get big letters, clear spacing and a number pad for PINs and codes. Pick a high contrast theme for each tap. Turn it on and type easier today!
Big Keys Keyboard helps you type with large keys, large text, and an accessible keypad on iPhone. It is built for low vision, seniors, and anyone who wants a clearer, calmer keyboard. Make your next message easier to write and easier to trust, starting now!
Built for visibility
Most keyboards assume perfect vision and tiny, precise taps. Big Keys Keyboard focuses on clarity with bigger letters, clearer spacing, and layouts that feel easier to follow so you can type with less strain.
A calmer keyboard experience
Some people find standard keyboards visually noisy or overwhelming. This keyboard aims to feel more predictable by keeping things clear and reducing unnecessary clutter, which may help support focused typing for users who prefer a calmer layout.
Helpful for caregivers
If you are setting up a phone for a parent, child, or someone who needs accessibility support, Big Keys Keyboard can be a simple helper to get them typing comfortably faster.
Keys, text, and emojis
Adjust key size to reduce mistaps and make each tap feel more accurate. Make the typing text larger so you can confirm words faster before you hit send. And if emojis look tiny, scale them up so your favorites are easier to see and select.
Dedicated keypad
Need to type digits fast? The built-in keypad is there for PINs and codes, but also for phone numbers, prices, and addresses.
High contrast themes
Choose a look that keeps the keyboard clear and readable. Bright light can wash things out, so stronger contrast often helps. At night, a calmer theme can feel better while the letters stay easy to see.
Language support
If you type in more than one language, switching should not feel like work. Use the language options in the keyboard so you can keep your flow across messages, email, and search.
Less retyping
Gesture shortcuts can help you reach the keypad or special characters faster. If enabled, haptic feedback can make key presses feel more certain, and a last key indicator can make quick corrections easier.

version 1.8.1 was unusable

UPDATE: I downloaded 1.8.2 (which was apparently made available shortly after originally posting this review), and it appears to have fixed my problem - or maybe it was some strange glitch which I can no longer duplicate. I didn't keep a copy of 1.8.1, so I can't say for sure either way. UNEDITED ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS; PLEASE IGNORE. This was a very nice alternative keyboard, but the latest update has the keyboard panel showing up as totally blank. Luckily, tapping the blank space two or three times makes the device revert to the default keyboard, so it doesn't totally gum up the works, but I've had to revert to the older version to get this working again.

Waste of the money
Loki of Asgard
So far I'm unimpressed and have only had the app an hour. It isn't correcting/adding grammar at all - so when I want to type "I'm" it doesn't add an apostrophe and auto corrects it to "in" instead. Doesn't automatically capitalize the letter at the beginning of a sentence either. Also, keyboard lag. Lastly, even if I make a very minor spelling error on a common word it completely changes my word to something ridiculous and out of this world. It's taking me 100x as long to type something up because I have to go back through and correct 99% of what I typed, PLUS I have to type slow because of the lag, lol. (I also just noticed that this app is REMOVING my grammar (i.e I just used a capital "I" and it corrected it to a lowercase "i".))What a waste of money behind such a good concept.

Dear Loki We are reviewing these issues which you have raised and would like to make sure of the language you selected in the Big Keys settings. Sadly grammar is not currently supported in this version, we are working on adding this feature soon. - We have tried "I'm" and auto correct didn't change it to "in". If you typed "im" then it will be changed to "in".- Regarding "I" we tested it and the keyboard was not changed to "i" We would like to contact you and see why is this happening. We are sorry to hear about your bad experience and we fully understand if you require a refund. Please feel free to contact me at Hassan@youapps.co so we can sort these issues. Needs Layout And Design Improvement

This app has a lot of potential, but there are a few simple things that could drastically improve it.- The modifier and layer keys should either have a different bg color, or a different border color than the rest of the keys (related to the point above.- The emoji section should include a backspace key (an “x”) so that people can quickly erase a wrongly chosen emoji.*If these changes are made, I’ll give this 5 stars.EDIT: I see now that one of the options was available in settings.

Update:Now Big Keys includes Predictive typing and Auto Correct. Hello I'm happy to let you know that an update is now on it's way, it should be available in a day or 2 after Apple approves it. This update will provide you with both requested features. Please email us at info@youapps.co if you have any more suggestions or questions. Many thanks Hassan @YouApps.co
