This review is strictly related to the app and reminder’s inability to display my appointment times consistently and in my time zone. My appointment is supposed to be at 8am my time. The chat reminder says 10am with no time zone listed. The appointments tab says 8am with no time zone listed. The email reminder says 7am my time zone. The text reminder says 8am in another time zone. This is stressful since I’m having to guess at which time my appointment will be and make alternate last minute arrangements to get my kids to school. Of course I didn’t notice this until right before my appointment. Some consistency and always displaying the time and time zone would be extremely helpful.
Patient abandonment
Only doing this to get robux
My provider stopped answering my messages in the app, leaving me without my monthly medication refill. I had to get my Valera therapist to reach out to them, and they said they hadn’t seen me in 7 months, which was completely untrue, and that I had been switched to a different provider, whom I had never heard of. No one ever notified me that my provider had been switched. When I called Valera to try to figure out what was going on, the customer service rep told me that their care coordinator would respond in three business days, which would mean possibly waiting 5 actual days to hear from them when I was out of medication. I explained this was too long a wait, and the person just kept repeating the same thing like a robot, refused to transfer me to anyone else or give me a way to contact someone who could help. I have literally never been treated this way by a medical provider or practice before. If you have ever had to go cold turkey on psych meds, you know withdrawal is no joke, and even dangerous. But Valera couldn’t care less apparently! Also the app is atrocious. I use MyChart all the time, and the Valera app is so bad in comparison, it should be illegal to use as a medical app. It seems like a child coded it. You cannot message providers individually, so everyone can see all your messages. You cannot see your appointment history or upcoming appointments, or prescription history, etc.So yeah, I guess use Valera if you don’t have any other options in our terrible medical system. I do like my therapist a lot. But don’t expect quality psychiatric care from this company.
Extremely Distracted
criselica
Recently something changed on the app. My therapist looks smaller on the screen and I’ve been moved to the top right on the screen. Originally Therapist took up more of the window which I prefer so it feels more as if he’s in front of me. I used to be bottom right which was less distracting. In addition to being distracted by my own face since now it’s on the top, names have been added to both windows further preventing me from concentrating. I can’t concentrate since my eyes are constantly drawn to my own face, his Name, the “you” that’s written on the window that shows me as if I wouldn’t know I’m me otherwise. Then there’s this annoying timer which is probably the most distracting part of this whole thing. How can I focus on the session with all these unnecessary things on the screen? Surely the therapist is capable of letting me know when we are down to 5 or 10 minutes or nearing our end. I feel like someone’s tapping me to hurry up as I see the numbers on the screen. Over all I hate this update.
Depends on who you get
vulgar tongue
I won’t disclose any names but it really depends on who you have I guess that’s just my personal preference I mean I had gotten somebody there initially wanted to prescribe me a medication that I had a bad experience with all over again and I didn’t work out so I didn’t give up and I switched do a different provider and I can honestly say that it’s then the best experience that I’ve had in a very long time as a person struggling both with addiction and anxiety depression and other disabilities so I’m definitely recommending it to anyone that’s willing to give it a shot and if you’re struggling with being on a waiting list for a long period of time than this place is probably a second best option especially if you’re a Zoom baby like me. But having said all that I really hope everybody can benefit from the providers that they have there and just know that there is help out there as long as you reach out.
