I see others wrote the same reviews about the same problem I’m having where it disconnects and then says to turn on Bluetooth even though my Bluetooth is on. I’ve gotten DOT violations because of it. Seeing that I’m paying for the service and it still gets me in trouble, I’m upset. It works when it feels like it but when it doesn’t work I basically have to delete the app, re-download and sign in and start over again. I tried calling them and of course their customer service is not the best at all. They tried telling me that I can only have 1 device connected to my phone at any given time and that I need to unpair from all other devices and blah blah blah. It’s not my phone. It’s your systems. And seeing that I’m not the only person that has had this problem, I know I’m not wrong.

I attempted to use this for a trip, on a trial subscription. It took me 2-1/2 hours to update eld, and get it to connect to app. It didn’t properly log my times, put me in the wrong time zone and violated me multiple times on the first day.On the second day, it said my trial was over and that the app would no longer function until I paid for a subscription. The gps device kept crashing when I needed it for specific directions, making it completely useless. I ended up having to use paper logs.My second attempt to use the app and gps was a complete failure. The gps stopped working, and could not find itself. It kept “thinking” it was 1200 miles away from where it truly was. These devices are junk. They have had years to work this stuff out, and failed. I bought Garmin devices, and while they have their own quirks, they are light years ahead of Rand McNally. I am really disappointed, because I have used RM maps for over 40 years and always believed in their products and reputation. This is no longer true.

First off, lower your expectations. There are more bugs in this program than a Florida rental and more glitches than the Matrix. 1) it interrupts your input to update. 2)The sync is not seamless and it ain’t running in no background. 3) After syncing, it needs to reconstruct your logs. That ain’t in the background either, neither is it in any kind of hurry. 4) All whilst this happens, you are in violation, expect that citation for “logs not up to date” and another one for reconstructing old logs. 5) It fails to keep your duty status current, and you cannot force it to take an updated status. 6) It would not let you switch to driving before you depart, it would not switch by itself, so you are in violation the entirety of you driving leg. 7) if you drive it will randomly change your duty status, without you asking it to, to whatever it feels or doesn’t feel is happening. So “personal conveyance” just becomes “on duty”for no particular good reason. Expect some crazy log.

Listen when this works it works well, keeps pretty accurate recordings of what I am doing only messed up an put me driving 24hours straight like once or twice and while I wasn’t able to change it I was able to put in a note to ‘correct’ the mistake. But if I don’t run for a few days in a row it has this tendency to not want to connect via Bluetooth and I’m am 90% sure it’s the app, because it will pop up telling me my Bluetooth isn’t on when it clearly is. I dunno if you are also a small town company just trying to comply this isn’t the worst one on the market and will get the job done but this app can be a bit glitchy to manage you do get used to it.
