A- UI, A+ UX, F payment processing

Once I got the app working, it worked great. I have a bunch of nitpicks about the UI not being up to snuff, but not enough to warrant dropping two stars.

The 3 star rating is due to how terrible of an experience I’ve had trying to demo the app, and then trying to purchase it. The app has hung and crashed on me almost every time I’ve tried, and seems to only fix itself on full reinstall.

Fair enough if that seems harsh, especially for something you only have to do once or twice total. However, the fact that it’s something everyone has to do at least once, and that every other app on the market can handle purchasing a demo or paying for the full app, a problem so large in a feature so basic does a number on my trust in the app’s long-term stability as I continue to use it.

Quick Edit: Several crashes, force closes, and a full iPad restart later, I haven’t managed to purchase the app yet. At least the free trial works. I’ll update this if/when I managed to actually give this app money for its services.

Edit2: Managed to buy the app after another restart and another couple crashes.

Mini Cintiq for a broke art student

I used to own a $40 Huion tablet that constantly had connection issues due to a flimsy micro USB cable until it finally give up on me last week. I was deciding between a more expensive Wacom or switching my entire workflow to my iPad Pro until I found out about this app. Truthfully, I was extremely skeptical and didn’t expect much — probably just another buggy Astro/duet wannabe. But I was wrong! It's affordable (one time payment of like, $12? $15?) and capable. I can paint on Photoshop using Apple Pencil with pressure sensitivity and navigate the tiny tool buttons with ease, which used to be a struggle when using a mouse. While the delay isn’t as nonexistent as in Procreate, it’s barely noticeable.

This tool is going to be insanely useful for digital artists and sculptors. Also great for comparing display colors, since my MacBook has an issue with overcompensating its display brightness.

Amazing! You don’t need a Wacom!

This app is insane! I was looking to get a Wacom tablet for school, but then I decided on an iPad so I could work on the go and an iPad is much cheaper than a cintique. However I didn’t know if I could connect. I found this app after searching for a bit and I must say, this app is everything you would expect! You can set up hotkeys to use with any programs that need it. I would like to say they should add a right click hotkey function to the app as I have not found any. I have done drawing in photoshop, 3D sculpting in mud box and some sculpting in mudbox, all using this app. Pressure sensitivity works like a charm, and when paired with a desktop computer there is absolutely no lag whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this app, you get a 14 day free trial to test it out and the price is just $12 one time, and in my opinion it is the best money I’ve spent!
