Use the App to remotely:

- Connect your favorite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with 'beep and flash' functionality.

Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then log in using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:

It’s worked about 98% of the time, starting, running climate, locking doors, beeping and flashing. No issues. Like a said a couple of times it had an issue connecting but that wasn’t the end of the world for me. I see all the hate for the app. Idk. I bought my 2020 defender this year (23) and it’s had no issues with the app really nearly working perfectly. My favorite feature is that I appreciate the ability to start the truck, get the climate going and lock the doors. Something I cannot do if I take the keys out of the vehicle and leave it running. That is frustrating living the the heart of Texas during the satans taint heat of the summer. Anyhoooo it works great. Hope it gets better for y’all! Thanks LR for the app. I guess kinda love it honestly.

Nothing good to say about this remote that is supposed to work with my 2018 Evoque. It doesn’t connect to my car 95% of the time. I can’t start my car remotely, climatize it, lock, beep and flash etc and I can never trust what it tells me about my car or where it is. Sometimes it gives notification of issues like service required or refuel when it 3/4 full and then they disappear only to reappear in a week when nothing has changed or sometimes never at all. Just overall a bad app that you must subscribe to in year 4 or 5. $120/year. I did not renew at that point. The dealership insisted it had improved and the car really needed it for all to work properly. Wish I hadn’t listen and done something worthwhile with my $120. There is another subscription with the car that expires next year and I’m sure that will require a fee also. These services should remain included for the life of the car with no subscription fee considering the original price of the vehicle and the fact that they are not reliable.

The remote feature for my Evoque is most definitely a game changer. I can track my vehicle if someone else is driving, it alerts me if there is an issue with my engine, brakes etc…, if I leave my doors unlocked, windows down….its a life saver. The ease of the interface is awesome as well. Being able to remotely start my car from my phone no matter where I am is the convenience I didn’t know that I needed lol. There’s so much more I could praise this app for but I will let you find out for yourselves 😉
New Update = Major Issues

This app has always worked well other than the occasional “window down” when it’s not. Then minor little errors here and there but nothing crazy and I felt they were tolerable due to the year model. Now this new update completely breaks the app and the car at times.One of the biggest issues is a constant “Doors Open” message. You can try resetting, opening every door, anything you can think of and it will not fix it. Then it randomly tells you “You may have forgotten to lock your doors” and asks me to lock them….. I know 100% they are locked. Now today I looked at my car while cranked to make sure the doors showed as closed. Closed the app and got out of the car and now my car doesn’t even show up, but it does show my guardian is set up yesterday went off one time. What a joke, don’t fix/change something if it isn’t broken!!!!!
