Something is Glitching!

I have been using this app for years now & loved it. But lately the app has been so glitchy! The loading spinner pops up so often, even if I’m on WiFi. Then the daily challenges or whatever they’re called now won’t log. It’s kind of frustrating!!

This app has changed many times over the years. The rewards were great until they decided to basically get rid of them. With the new update you’re collecting points that you can’t redeem because they don’t have rewards. Maybe they’ll eventually allow you to use your awards but the app has been out for a while and they still have NOTHING so it’s pointless to use. They only have two challenges, steps and meditation. The meditation portion doesn’t sync with any of the mindful apps available in the App Store so you have to watch videos on the State Farm app to get credit towards the challenge. These videos range from 60 seconds long to 5-10 minutes and people are doing this for HOURS which is not realistic. You’ll be at the top of the “league” and get promoted then drop to dead last which is stupid. This app is pointless for me, if you need something to help keep you on track and reach goals then there are waaaay better options since this gives you nothing but an atta boy which some people need.

I’ve been utilizing this app for years. It’s done a fantastic job of encouraging me to stay active by offering some pretty robust rewards. The path to getting those rewards has gotten more difficult over the years and I was fine with that. In the last 3mo, however, they decided to move the goal posts all together. Now you have to get medals and points to redeem for rewards. The only significant way to get medals is to trade in points for medals. Essentially they’ve double, tripled, or quadrupled the points it takes to get the same size gift card. What a convoluted system meant to save them money. They’ve also added too many features that distract from the core functionality of getting you to be active.Really bummed such a great app was ruined so quickly.

There are many sections of the app that need improvements. Several items are very slow to update or capture real time data. As an example my steps are never right unless I sit still for an hour or so. That defeats the purpose of its intent. Leader board and donation page are frustrating as it doesn’t make since how they work. I’m sure it does to the developer, but I don’t get it. Some challenges I can’t figure out how to show I did them and there’s not instruction for what the app needs for it. I’ve yet to get a gift card but that’s because I’m building points. I could have gotten one as quick as the first day or two, but the next one will likely take longer.
