Occu needs to get with the times! From the debit cards not being tap to their app having a million steps to do one thing. Their recent update took away Face ID to log in! Super frustrating to have to type in your password each and every time. Mobile banking should be quick and easy! OCCU is far from that! They definitely need some fresh younger minds in there to get their corporation where it needs to be in the 21st century! Everything is so old school.

Both the app and the actual website are horrible and disgust me every time I am unfortunate enough to have to (try) to use them. 95% of the time the app doesn’t work, 90% of the time the website won’t either. What’s worst is that this has been going on for a long time now and there is obviously no effort made by OCCU to fix this. The thought that people are getting paid for creating and “maintaining” this garbage app makes me throw up, I bet your coding staff also continually messes up their Starbucks order and then yells at the barista for “getting it wrong”. I can’t tell you how sick and tired I am of this absolute incompetence. Also, if their IT team is trash like this, how can I trust them with sensitive data and money?? I just opened an account at a different bank, and will close my OCCU account as soon as possible. Horrible. Wouldn’t be surprised if this app is so idioticly coded that data is leaking straight to North Korea. Everybody, do yourself a favor, don’t get this app and DO NOT BANK HERE!!!

Sept 2025: Truly the worst banking app. Makes me want to switch credit unions entirely. The move to Zelle has been disastrous. I’ve ensured enrollment in Zelle, successfully sent money about 3 times, and now the whole screen turns white when I try to open the Zelle feature. Given that we can no longer send money on laptops, I am now unable to pay someone for an urgent matter. TERRIBLE. Older Review: I hate this new app. The old one was perfect, not sure why they changed it. This one feels so much slower, looks ridiculous with its graphics, and I absolutely can’t stand the transaction history. I loved how the old app would show how much your total balance was underneath each transaction. It helped in making sense of the math. Now, it just says what was added in/withdrawn and does not show the affect on the total balance. I hate it!! Please revise. Online banking in 2020 is crucial. This app just annoys me way too much. The whole thing is a hot mess.

I just downloaded and used your app for the first time to do my first mobile deposit. I recently refinanced my auto loan thru OCCU and my payment went down over $100/month so that's nice. Needed to deposit some money in order to cover the monthly payment and couldn't find a way to do that on the website, so I decided to try the app.I was a bit worried when I saw that there were many negative reviews. Just wanted to add this positive one. It worked and was very easy to get the app, sign in, and make the deposit. I enabled facial recognition so hopefully it's even easier next time.
