Fantastic app and fantastic help

I purchased this app last night after stumbling across it when I was looking for something - anything - that would help me plot weather across my route simply. This app did it beautifully. The interface is great, simple, and informative. I also had what I thought was a glitch (but was not) when I tried to open it on a second device. It turned out that I simply had to wait for that device to sync with my App Store/Apple ID so that the purchase would be recognized. In the interim, I emailed the developer and got a response within minutes. How great is that? I assume the forecast information is accurate since I have not actually traveled as route yet (though, from what I’ve seen as it relates to other weather forecast, the temperatures and cloud cover appear to be accurate) but, from all that I have seen so far, this app is fantastic. If you are a traveler, buy it!

App Developer Don’t Understand Route Planning

Just got the app and to plan my first trip from Denver, CO to Augusta, GA, here are the problems and they are very annoying:1) Picked Denver as my start point and Augusta as my end point, went to “Add Stop” and it takes me all the way Augusta first and then back to my first stop in Kansas. This is a basic lack of understanding by the developers as to how people plan trips. The only workaround is to know the route and to add stops along the way until your destination is your final stop. Makes it very time consuming to plan the route. Also keeps you from experimenting like heading to Albuquerque as a stop and then having the trip to adjust to the southern route along interstate 10 to weigh the trade off of extra miles to Augusta vs warmer temperatures and better road conditions since this is a motorcycle trip - can’t do it without making Albuquerque my first destination and then going stop by stop to Augusta.2) Once you set a trip and departure time the weather along the way stays the same even if you modify the departure time, you can’t just change the departure time and watch the weather along the way respond to see the optimum departure time. You have to redo the whole trip with the new departure time at the onset.

Hi, thank you for the review, I really appreciate the details as they helps make the app better. 1. I see what you mean regarding the stops, however you can still rearrange the points after adding them. So if you are going to Augusta and want to stop in Kansas, you can add it at the bottom and drag it to the middle using the three lines button on the right. 2. You should be able to adjust the departure time at any point, you don’t need to clear the route to change it. I’m not sure that I have ever reviewed an app, but this one deserves my time to say 5 Stars! I drive between SC and VA on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This app has provided me with peace of mind. I used to spend a lot of time checking different weather apps and watching the national weather reports to try and determine the safest routes, when to leave and how to avoid any potential weather issues that could impact my drive. This app takes all of that stress and uncertainty away. Super user-friendly and worth the price for premium! I’ve pinned this app to my taskbar! Highly recommend!

No Audible/Directional Navigation Features

Bought a new truck that now has CarPlay. Was looking at apps that were recommended for CarPlay, especially one dealing with weather. I downloaded it based on reviews and paid for the Pro version for a year. I have now tested it a few times on my hour and half drive to my ranch. I was surprised to find there was no audible voice/ directional navigation for the map even though it uses Apple Maps. It’s been fine because I obviously know my way to the ranch. I have an upcoming trip to San Antonio and Austin. Because I will have to make a stop in San Antonio for an hour before heading on to Austin, I will need to rely on the navigation function to get to my stop in San Antonio and back out to head to Austin and navigation to the point in Austin. In my test drives to my ranch near Weimar, there has not been a navigation feature, audible or not, to see if I can rely on the navigation and weather features. Maybe I’m missing something
