The frame works well provided one is able to get through the setup and actually upload pictures. We did manage to do that when we first got it but subsequent attempts to upload new pictures has been a dismal failure. The app will tell you that pictures have been successfully uploaded but they are nowhere to be seen. Tried on and off over the past year to get some new pictures of my grandchildren uploaded but, again, failure. Now I can’t even open the app as trying to replace a forgotten password has resulted in the same situation as uploading pictures. That is, it will tell you that a new password request has been successfully sent to my email but, like the missing pictures, it’s nowhere to be found. The frame is now pretty much useless to us as we are getting kinda tired of seeing the same few pictures over and over.

The instructions are not the best. I was given this frame as a gift a few years ago. I added over one hundred pictures following the initial set up instructions. It was worked well, but I decided it was time to upgrade my grandchildren and family pictures. I had to play around with it and did manage to delete the pictures, using the frame itself, rather than the app. I then selected another set of 114 pictures, adding 50, then 50, then 14via my iPhone. I sent them and watched they were “progressing” and supposedly added. I also did this multiple times. Nothing. So I tried adding just one. Nope. I was about to give up but found the manual online. What they neglect to say is that some things are done through the phone app, and some things through the frame itself. I finally figured out that the pictures are there, but you can’t see them UNLESS you go into the Settings- User Management and select the ID for you. A dropdown appears and if you choose View Pictures, you will see your new pictures! They should have made that evident in the instructions. I would suggest that before selecting your pictures, you decide if the frame will be landscape or portrait, and choose only applicable pictures. I have always enjoyed this frame and am glad I figured this out. I hope it helps others who have had the same issue.

The frame itself is nice and the pics look good if you click full resolution. The app is not as good. Only allows nine pics per upload, you have no control after that - can’t delete. Not good when you’ve sent the wrong pic and now it’s up to the frame owner to delete it (which can be hard for elderly to figure out). Many times I’ve gone to upload and only some of the nine actually show up (the thumbnail is blank so I have to delete it before hitting send or the frame will just show a blank pic). You can see what you sent in the messages part of the app but you can’t change any settings like time or when you want the frame to turn on or off. These are all controlled only on the frame. I do like that it has 16GB of storage per frame vs Nixplay’s 10 GB of storage shared between 5 frames. But Nixplay’s app is much more functional and user friendly.

The frame I got was simple and the pictures display nicely but the user interface is misleading. The procedure to sync photos to the frame is not clear (just kept hitting things till I got it right). Once you upload photos to the frame, there is no way to see which photos your frame has stored.I uploaded 9 photos (the stated limit) and one of them was not cropped properly so wanted to replace that one. In the App, it looked like I had to reupload all 9 photos again so I did and then the frame had 18 photos so I had to delete the photos I didn’t want from the frame 1 by 1. Also the user interface on the frame itself is not intuitive either, but I’ll save that for a different review tho. I would avoid using this app if possible.
