This app lets you listen to your favorite parts of songs. —THE STORY— Oftentimes at the gym or while driving, I used to fumble with my phone to restart a song or skip ahead to my favorite part. It was both annoying and unsafe. I wished my phone could just read my mind and play the parts I wanted. So I built an app that does exactly that. Works well but COULD be great!

The app clips each song so you just hear the portion of the doing you want to hear. It would be great if there was a feature allowing overlap of the songs so that if you’re using it at a party you keep the flow going. You don’t want the song to come to complete stop before another. Really good app though.

I play music at hockey games and I have been looking for an app that would allow me to “clip” songs. This has been no easy feat, as I put 70 songs in each playlist and sometimes run out of music. I have been hoping to find something with low to no fee, as I won’t need this type of service after this season. I popped 4 songs into this app just to test it ahead of tonight’s game. I clicked on a song that I had clipped to see if it worked. After waiting about 30 seconds, the song never played. I tried the other 3 songs that were full length and not clipped. None of those played for me either. I went ahead an deleted the app. Pretty sure what I’m looking for is a 🦄

I like the app and being able to cut up the songs but for the life of me it will not play the cut up songs in a playlist without stop/starting jumping to another song or end up playing the whole song anyway. I bought the paid version because I thought it might would fix the issue but it didn’t. I get excited with every update because might fix the glitches and bugs but still have the same issues. Shame because I want to use this as a pregame playlist for high school football but just not happening.

Sorry to hear that!First and foremost, please email more details to hi@pelascope.com and I’ll gladly look into it and fix the issues.In the meantime, here are some things that might help:- If this is happening with either Apple Music or Spotify, make sure you keep these apps open in the background. This is important because pelascope is effectively a remote control for those apps.- When you say it plays “the whole song anyway”, I suspect this happens when another app interrupts the audio session: you’ll notice the music pauses. In this case you have to tap and play the song again in order to resume the session.If that doesn’t help, please email with the following details:- do these issues happen with Apple, Spotify or “My Music”?- what other kind of apps do you open simultaneously- what are some of the stop/starts you’ve set up in consecutive songs (eg 1:52-2:30; 0:32-2:15)
