Heartbeatz connect app must be used with the heartbeatz device purchased at https://store.npe-inc.com. Heartbeatz broadcasts heart rate data measured by the Apple Watch® to any BLE/ANT+/Polar receiver such as Peloton® bikes, Garmin head units and treadmills. Heartbeatz setup is simple; mount WYÛR to your bike or treadmill, start the heartbeatz connect app and pair to WYÛR. Bikes and treadmills using proximity awareness will automatically associate with heartbeatz. Once associated, exercisers can start their workout and the bike or treadmill will display the heart rate data measured by the Apple Watch® in real-time. Your Apple Watch becomes a BLE/ANT+/Polar Heart Rate Monitor when you use a WYÛR connected to your watch allowing you to used your Apple Watch heart rate with virtually anything that will connect to a heart rate monitor. By using Apple Health to record your workouts you can close your rings and have your heart rate data show up on your Peloton, Garmin, Heart Zones or in front of you on any treadmill or rowing machine supporting BLE/ANT+/Polar heart rate monitors.

Unstable and unusable

I spent $100 on their RUNN treadmill sensor but this terrible app is so unstable it is not usable with it. Don’t know why they took an app for a different piece of hardware and used it but it shows. It has never worked right. Example: Latest update for I watch os8 broke the app again. I purchased the RUNN treadmill sensor to use on my incline treadmill to get accurate distance and elevation change. The latest version no longer shows how much total I have climbed nor does it report it to Apple fitness for tracking. At first NPE customer service wouldn’t even believe that there was a new version until I sent a snapshot of the App Store, then finally they admitted they broke it, again. Do not waste your time with this app or purchase the RUNN box. The RUNN concept is great just not the execution in this app which has never worked right with it.

Significant Usability Downgrade from Previous Version

I use this watch app almost every day and previously rated it five stars. I'm now rating it two stars. The latest app update continues to function fine, but the first watch screen no longer shows the information most needed by runners on the treadmill. Specifically, the first screen now shows the time, BPM, active cal, and total cal. The second screen shows the total mi, mph, pace, and percentage incline. Please make sure that, when selecting the Indoor Run workout option, the screens are either configurable via the phone app or ensure that the first screen shows total time, total mileage, mph, and optionally BPM. The other items can be moved to later screens. Also, lower priority, please make the two buttons pressed simultaneously function as pause just as the Apple Workout watch app does.

Counts Double Workouts

I downloaded this app because I added the Runn treadmill sensor to my treadmill. Since Apple workout won’t read the data from Runn, I used this app on my Apple Watch to record my workout. It reads all the data correctly from the Runn and uses my heart rate from the Watch. The problem? After the workout is complete, it records double the miles I actually ran in Apple Fitness. North Pole support says it’s a bug that will be fixed in the next version. Been waiting since mid February. If they can fix this bug, I’ll give it 5 stars. Does everything I want…except the double counting.I know the Runn is outputting correct data because I can use it with the Kinomap app and it does not count double mileage.

So great to be able to use my Apple Watch with my profit treadmill. I use IFit and I am able to utilize the active pulse feature. You need to be sure to have your watch, phone, and dongle all connected prior to beginning the workout. It will also record in Apple Health. Only critique is it would be nice to have a compilation but... if it had a compilation that is probably just one more thing that could break or freeze things up!I have used for two weeks now and only had it bug out one time when I did not connect and start everything prior to starting workout.
