Master Lock® Vault eLocks has been enhanced and redesigned as Master Lock® Vault Home Your smartphone is the key to your padlock and lockbox – no more forgotten combos! Enjoy speed & ease of use, share access, have greater control with temporary keys/codes, low battery notifications and a 90-day history log. With a Bluetooth Smart-enabled device, you and your guests can unlock & lock your Master Lock Bluetooth Smart-enabled padlock using digital, encrypted “keys”. If you don’t have your phone with you, or you need to share temporary access with someone, the lock can be opened using a code entered on the lock keypad. In default Wake Mode, the lock unlocks upon pressing any button on the lock when your phone is with you. Optional Wake + Tap Mode, adds security by requiring the user to wake the lock and press a button on their phone to unlock the lock. The lock owner can easily add and remove guests and schedule guest access to 24/7 or time-limited access. Disabled Mode allows for maintaining a locked state while the phone is stored inside of a locker. The lock history log captures lock registration; unlock, open and relock activity; unlock method (via Bluetooth Smart-enabled device or directional code); date, time and user (if known); guest invitations, acceptances, access revocations; lock keypad tamper alerts; low battery alerts; Primary Code changes; settings changes (Automatic Relock Time, Unlock Mode, Time Zone); reset keys activity and firmware updates. The lock batteries are replaceable and can be jumped with an external battery if the battery dies in the locked position. The rebranding and new UI have greatly improved the UI

I have had my bluetooth smart lock 4400D since the initial app release under the eLock branding and I still use the very same lock. The new app is so much smoother and I noticed the enterprise version has an app for the Apple Watch. Any chance home users can get an Apple Watch app? It would be an added convenience to have the same functionality for the Apple Watch in the home because if you live in a big house, your phone may not be able to connect within 6 feet of the lock if it’s charging in a different room which the watch would have enough battery throughout the day to make accessing locks a breeze.

They fixed a number of the issues with the old app and added several new features that make the app work better and easier to use. Like that I can now give guests time specific access. I love that I no longer have to remember a password..seems easier and more secure.

Doesn't reliably open unless iphone is unlocked

Cool lock, great concept. But unless I remove my iPhone from my pocket and unlock it, the lock will not open; even though the master lock app is "open" on the phone. I've had this lock for several years and it's gone through an app update (actually a completely new app) and a firmware update, and still it will not reliably unlock. Considering my August smart lock reliably connects to my phone via Bluetooth and unlocks my front door, there is no reason Master Lock shouldn't be able to update their software to deliver the same experience. Especially considering what Master lock charges for this lock.

I've had this lock for several years and it's gone through an app update (actually a completely new app) and a firmware update, and still it will not reliably unlock. Considering my August smart lock reliably connects to my phone via Bluetooth and unlocks my front door, there is no reason Master Lock shouldn't be able to update their software to deliver the same experience. Especially considering what Master lock charges for this lock.

Just tried the free version using Schlage key that the number was stamped on the key. After doing the adjustment it worked great. Matched identically. Wish there was more then a few lock brands to pick from on the app as I would be interested in buying the full app, but need additional brands of locks not included on the full version. Master Lock being one of them. I have a lock with no number on it and I would like to buy a duplicate lock, but no number stamped on the key I have. I would be using the app to decode the key to buy duplicate locks
