Southern Bank in Nashville has always given 100% to their customers. Pam Avent and Amy Beasley are on top of their jobs and all the tellers are extremely helpful. They seem to look after their customers as if they were family and I like that. This is why we have been with Souther Bank for years and years and never plan to use any other banking institution.

With every update, their app becomes more and more broken. I have been able to access it a grand total of one time in the last two months; every other attempt is met with a “please wait” message permanently stuck on my screen, or the app completely refusing to allow me the slightest attempt at signing in. You would think for an app used to view necessary information like money, they would have put a little more effort into making it functional. I’m switching banks soon simply because of their lack of effort in ensuring a smooth customer experience at every possible opportunity.

I’ve been patient waiting for an update since this new app was launched. It’s been months and the first interaction with the app (the login screen) is a complete mess. Face ID doesn’t work and I have to re-enter my credentials every time. It’s fine once you get in. Too bad every experience starts with an annoyed user.

I would give it zero stars, that would be unfair bc the whole app isn’t trash. The mobile deposit with me has been terrible. It will approve the checks on the app but never approve for an actual deposit on the bank end. The checks are good no issues on bouncing have double checked for every check that I have tried. Every week now has failed, making a trip inside the bank inevitable. A convenient feature that’s not so “convenient”.
This update contains bug fixes and performance improvements. We are continually working to deliver an exceptional user experience within the app. Turn on auto-updates to ensure that you always have the latest version.
