Recently the app is performing much better and more stable than in the past. I appreciate the new developments including the title at the top. There are still a few issues that require a close out of the app. If I am listening to a chapter and take new pics, the app automatically starts reading the new chapter and I have to force it closed and then manually open the chapter that I was listening to during the picture taking process. It does save the place and is easy to resume. Old review:I reached out a couple of weeks ago looking for support when the scanned book won’t play. What do I do? Most of the time, the app works fine, but sometimes there is an issue when there is a gap in the scanned text, like when the page changes. Any suggestions? I tried to rescan and am having trouble with reading one book. I’ve spent a lot of time closing the app and reopening and trying to highlight the text. Please help. Here I am again, a couple of weeks later, still struggling with the same issue. Any feedback? I really think that I want a refund so I can try another app. It’s so sad that you haven’t responded yet.

I am constantly listening to audiobooks so a text to speech reader is one of my most used apps and I have have tried just about all of them in the App Store. This app has potential to be amazing and I will gladly pay for a year subscription with the right update. It needs dark mode. Simple but a big upgrade in my opinion. The ability to skip back and forth would also be a huge plus. I’ve had issues with it randomly stopping while reading or skipping around so I can’t really set it and forget it like I want to with this sort of app. I listen to books nearly 24/7, even while sleeping, so the stoping and starting every 5 minutes gets old. I don’t know if this is a bug or just how the app runs. The voice options are really nice and the reading is very realistic. Would love some options with accents to be added as well but I’m very happy with what’s on here so far. Overall, this could be my new favorite app if it gets a few improvements. Definitely would be worth the price for someone that listens to books as much as I do.

I started off with the free trial and decided until certain things hopefully get fixed not to continue with a subscription. Having ADHD I go through bouts where I can sit and read all day and times when it’s the polar opposite. I decided to try this app out for a book I needed to read for an assignment but was struggling to focus on it. Using this app was a great option as the book I was reading is not available as an audiobook.Scanning and uploading the pages was easy as can be. After everything was loaded and the narrator would start reading it back to me I ran into several issues. 1. Each word is highlighted as it is read. However the first two words of every sentence would not have audio for them. As long as I was reading along I was able to fill in that gap but should my eyes looked away hearing a partial sentence threw me off.2. The app would stop reading at he beginning of every paragraph. I would eventually have the tap on the first word for it to highlight the whole sentence and then start functioning as normal.3. The app would also load each page scanned with a page break on the app. With that the above issue where it would stop playing audio all together would happen. I would again have to tap on the word for it to highlight the whole sentence and then start the audio again. This really was rough when one scanned page didn’t end in a sentence and the sentence instead had carried on to the other page. By the time the audio worked I would forget what the first half read was.Overall there is good potential with this app after all of the bugs are fixed. I would at that point consider paying for a subscription.
Fixed bugs and crashes.
