This unit replaced the original unit from 24 years ago. It not only is better and SMARTER than the original, it's smarter than me. Cooling/dehumidifying is stone cold and quiet as a church mouse. We have increased the temperature setting from 69 degrees to 72 and it's as cool now as it was with the original unit. And the outside unit can't even be heard unless you're right next to it and even then it's barely audible. And it has a setting for night time to cut the noise even further. All kinds of energy saving features. It's absolutely amazing. I'll update this come cold weather to determine how it heats.

It's really nice that the app works and looks exactly like the wall unit! Better in many ways than the Nest I had previously. The amana just follows the set schedule no questions.One feature I miss though is the ability to say "circulate air starting now, and for the next X hours". I do have the circulate on a schedule, but sometimes I want to run the blower fan for a while to clear out a smell, like when the windows were open and a neighbor started up their smoker.

I have downloaded and installed the Amana Home app to my iPhone and to my wife's as well. But it does not appear that it is possible to set up a separate Amana Home account for my wife with her own email and connect to our thermostat. As a result in order to control the Amana HVAC with her iPhone, she must log in with my credentials. If I have the geofence feature turned on and I leave the house to run to the store (or worse if I leave on an extended trip) then the geofence detects that I am away and turns the HVAC to AWAY. If my wife remains at home, obviously she needs the HVAC to remain in the At Home setting. This is not a very smart app. Please fix this app to detect when multiple household members are away and only switch to AWAY when all household members are detected outside of the geofence range. If I am missing something here, then please update your app’s documentation to state clearly how this situation can be avoided and resolved. I am an app developer myself so I think I know where to look for this kind of thing.

I absolutely love our new Amana. He did an air system. It is absolutely amazing. I cannot believe the difference it has made in cost efficiency. Easy Wi-Fi access if we’re freezing it’s hot in five minutes. If we’re hot or cold in five minutes. It’s the best investment we’ve ever made. I recommend this product to anybody this looking to replace their system. Thank you. You. Very happy customer.
