Current Version fully supports all ASL alphabets translation. The next major update will include support for common ASL words and phrases.
Handsway is a one-of-a-kind, non-profit, completely free application (and will always remain free) which can be used to translate ASL(American Sign Language) to text and speech in real time using your in built camera! It was developed to make the world more accessible and break communication barriers.
In order to increase the accessibility of this application, we have removed the need for users to log in or sign up, eliminated ads and the option for a premium version, and made the app fully available offline at no cost to users worldwide. In addition, we prioritize user privacy and therefore all machine learning models are run on device, with NO data being sent from the user's device to Handsway servers.
