App is quite buggy, developer gives useless workarounds

I don’t often take time to rate apps, but this was a special occasion. For a company as large as V-Tech, you’d think they’d be able to hire a decent app developer. Instead, this app makes it impossible to save almost any settings, throwing an error. That includes simply placing the camera in parked mode so it stops recording.Meanwhile, instead of make improvements, the developer just says, “try this workaround that is pretty impractical” instead of just working to implement requested fixes and features. They would probably just suggest I unplug the camera when I want to stop recording.My suggestion? Instead of making excuses, try hiring someone who knows their stuff, and take ownership of your problems.

Profile name keeps resetting after changing it

I have multiple cameras, and I need to rename the profiles to something meaningful so the push notifications make more sense in terms of knowing which camera is alerting. No luck. Every time I rename a camera profile it resets to the factory name once i exit the app and reopen it. SO FRUSTRATING. PLEASE FIX!!!! Been like this for many months!EDIT: in response to developer comment — I have tried explicitly logging out of the secondary account and a trying to update. It does the same thing, the profile name still reverts when only the primary user is logged in. Please look into this bug further, I’ve been using the app for 1+ years and it’s extremely frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for the frustration this issue has caused.When a camera is shared from a primary account to a secondary account, settings like the camera's name can only be permanently changed by the primary account owner. Any modifications made from a shared account will not be saved.

App stopped recording motion events

The app stopped recording all motion events. It shows no recent activity. I deleted the app and added the camera again hoping it would start recording motion events against but all it did was delete all my pictures and videos. I messaged product support and was told there was nothing that could be done about my lost pictures and videos and gave no support on why the motion recordings stopped recording. The main reason for purchase was to be able to view the motion recordings and save them. Everything is paired correctly; I have no issues viewing the camera on my app or parent unit.
