I want to preface this by saying though it may seem like a “fake” review - I promise, I have no affiliations what so ever with GasBuddy! I just know how it is to have a small business, the costs and sacrifices involved and also, the high costs you almost must pay to get known enough to make a decent living from all of your work. Therefore, I try to do my part and help out others no matter what step in the path they be at. I have yet to see anything comparable to the services provided by GasBuddy. Such a handy tool - especially when the span of pricing can be 25 cents or more within a mile! Living in such a tourist rich town has its many upsides (its tourist rich for a reason!) but the downsides come, too - and gas price hikes are definitely on my list of negatives. I have the rewards program, which was a simple process that took less than five minutes. Simply linking my GasBuddy account to my checking account gives me instant discounts! GasBuddy also lets me know where the beat discounts are. On top of that, you can earn rewards from simple tasks like verifying the gas prices when you go to stations or rating your experience with a station, (which take maybe five seconds to maybe a minute to do) and you’ll earn points that you can use to enter their daily drawings of real cash (I’ve never seen less than $100). Their are several other perks and rewards for you to be had, which tells me the company is customer focused and not looking to bombard you with ads and gimmicks. Love this app and hope this solidifies your decision to download!
Not perfect, but a reliable source of information

Small issue to report: When leaving a review of a gas station, after proceeding through/past the formatted questions to the free-write section at the end, the field to type in is a centered box. This box is the issue. First, it's a bit constrictive considering the size of the font. More importantly, there is a large red "SUBMIT" button above the keyboard. It hovers directly over the bottom of the field box. When a user types over 6 lines of text, the 7th will be behind the red box and the user can no longer see what is being typed. This can be briefly alleviated for one line by scrolling within the box itself, but the problem then reoccurs at 7 lines and the 8th cannot be seen. The ability to scroll in the field box does not work any further. My advice is to both decrease the font size a little and definitely make that red "SUBMIT" box smaller. It would also help to make the field box wider.Overall, I don't know why a whole bunch of things in this app were made so big. It looks goofy and there's less information on the screen.Other sections outside of looking at the details of an individual station, things are more to an appropriate scale. I would advise consistency throughout the app by decreasing the size of some things. Please do not proceed the other way around and make things larger or your going to run into similar problems as the one I have thoroughly illustrated.Thank you for providing a reliable platform that helps every user manage their fuel spending better!
Useful, but could be improved

I have never used the card/discount features of this app. Even so, this app is a useful tool to find the best prices around (usually) and feel like you’re getting robbed by the least amount possible at the pump. I say usually, because prices are occasionally wrong, which is understandable considering that they are crowd-sourced but still frustrating when you’ve put effort into letting the app steer you to drive out of your way to get a deal that doesn’t exist. Prices are typically correct and usually close if they’re not exact, but not always. My main annoyances with this app that the developers could do something about are the load times. It sometimes takes longer than should, even on current hardware and iOS versions. My second biggest gripe is that there B20 biodiesel is not an available fuel type. Far more B20 is burned in this country than E85, which is listed. Similarly, there’s no filter for Top Tier (gas or diesel), which I run preferentially along with B20. Finally, on longer trips, the search-along-route feature is great, but there’s one caveat to that. I’m non-route searches, the distance from “current location” to each station is displayed. I’m along-route searches, this disappears and is replaced by distance added to route. While this metric is also useful, it would be really nice to know at a glance (from list view) which stations I can make it to with my available fuel range.Overall positive and useful, but could be great with a few tweaks and new features.
Keep up with the times

GasBuddy was and is still a great concept, and I was happy using it once upon a time - when gas was cheaper and they hadn’t “sold out”. Times change. As they became more popular, it seems the discounts became less focused on fuel savings and more focused on cash back to spend in stores (I.e. sponsored advertising). But it came to a head with the record fuel prices and I gave up on them. At this point, saving less than $1 per fill up doesn’t help anyone like me. Maybe if you have a small car and/or don’t drive much, but to me it doesn’t help. The “premium” membership isn’t worth paying $10/month for either, because on average I’d only save about $7.50 in a month with their rate. Not worth it! But the final two nails in the coffin were this: Several times I had fueled up using my Pay with GasBuddy card on deal alerts and didn’t get the deal even acknowledged or applied in the app. CS was less than responsive about this, basically saying they didn’t know why it wasn’t working.Lastly and most importantly, they have a $75 daily spending cap and $300 weekly spending cap. I can’t even get 3/4 of a tank with $75 these days! They claim they can’t and won’t raise the cap for contractual obligations. Well, I’m gone. That does me no good. With the entire nation at $4.50+/gal now, y’all need to get with the times or lose once loyal customers such as myself.
Continued bug fixes and performance improvements.
