The FNB Banking App embraces the future of help and our new look and feel will do just that
Some features to look out for:
Simple straight-forward navigation – We’ve added bottom navigation to make it easier to find what you need, when you need it.
Switch users easily – Multiple profiles? No problem! Switch seamlessly between different user profiles by selecting profiles located on the bottom navigation and then select “switch user”.
Introducing the Action Panel – Bringing your banking features front and center, like payments, transfers, my cards, and cash withdrawals.
Chat Pay – A revolutionary new feature called Chat Pay that allows you to pay any FNB customer via a simple chat, all within FNB’s secure ecosystem giving you peace of mind that the person you are paying has been verified and approved. It’s that simple.
What is Pay?
We have renamed Payments to Pay. This feature will provide you with access to categories within payments such as pay, receive, pay bills, payment settings, and payment history.
What is Secure Messaging?
Chat to other FNB/RMB customers securely on the App by granting access to your contact list. Features within Secure Messaging include Chat Pay, voice notes, attachments, share location, etc.

The App is great and convenient. Having an innovative business manager could expand my business, quite rapidly. But I cannot find any such person. All I ever engage with are those that do not know any other way of solving problems. Eish
Bad user experience and terrible customer support
No idea how anyone can give this app more than 3 stars. Even the latest visual overall was a total waist of precious resources. 1.) Categorization of actions make zero sense. 2.) Button design could not have been done by an experience UI designer. 3.) During an action, like adding a recipient, if you do one thing wrong you have to restart from the beginning, and 4.) Worst of all is the the ‘chat to a banker’ experience… easily the worst customer support experience on the internet. Agents have no chat decorum, take MINUTES to respond during an ongoing chat, and make ridiculous excuses like, ‘sorry I had to go through your history and also type the message,’ and then discloses that they are assisting more than one customer at a time.
Location for payments no thank you!
Location required for payments? Are you kidding?! What if the location services are not available. What if I don’t want to share it with FNB? Then the app is essentially useless. I value my privacy and FNB should rather invest their time and money on implementing secure two factor authentication rather than spying on their customers. I can already see my location data land up in the next data leak. That’s how you lose customers FNB

Hi there, customers are faced with a number of threats and we have introduced an additional security layer when performing certain transactions. Whilst this may appear intrusive it is a valuable tool in combatting fraud and providing contextual information for fraud detection. We do not share any of this location data with 3rd parties.
